About this deal

Following the success of the inaugural 2022 season, Pokémon GO will return to the 2023 Pokémon Championship Series. Pokémon GO will feature at many more events alongside both the Pokémon TCG and VGC events. All players will compete in a single age division in the 2023 Pokémon GO Championship Series. It's hard to believe we are already halfway through 2023! As we chug through this whirlwind of a year, I am pleased to share some recent administrative updates. As many of you may know, last month, Bulbapedia held a staff drive to recruit new members to our team. While we received many impressive applications, there were a few that particularly stood out. Please help me congratulate 4iamking, Anzasquiddles, Boblers, Landfish7, Nikuriku, and Storm Aurora who will be joining the team as Junior Administrators. The Pokémon TCG Championship Series largely remains unchanged going into the 2023 season and will continue to suspend all local Championship Point (CP) tournaments (e.g., League Challenges and League Cups) until further notice. And of course, meet old and new Pokémon characters. Learn their types, moves, key stats, strengths and weaknesses with the newly updated Pokédex, including Galar Pokémon.

International Championships will also return for the 2023 Pokémon Championship Series, with events in Latin America, Oceania, Europe, and North America. Pokémon TCG Travel Awards will function the same for this event as they did previously—CP earned from the day after the Europe International Championships through and including the North America International Championships will determine Travel Awards for the Latin America International Championships. Because VGC events do not resume until January, VGC Championship Points earned during this period will determine Travel Awards for the Oceania International Championships. Cards with the regulation mark are rotated out. Cards with a , , or later regulation mark remain legal.

BLVKHVND, the defending champions, competed under the Luminosity Gaming name. They swept Day Two, not losing a game, becoming two-time World Champions. Get to know Trainers, discover battle moves and meet Gym Leaders, plus learn about some legendary battles along the way. Own a Grass-type starter Pokémon since May, who caught her Bulbasaur in Grass Hysteria!, 885 episodes earlier. Liko is the first main character to obtain a Pokémon in the first episode of a new series since Dawn obtained her Piplup in Following A Maiden's Voyage!, 766 episodes earlier. The 2023-24 Standard format was used for the Pokémon TCG Championships, allowing all cards with regulation mark E or later. Players received invitations from gaining enough Championship Points throughout the year or from the previous World Championships. The top cut for some rating zones were able to go straight to Day Two: the Top 2 of the Middle East and South Africa, Top 4 of Oceania, Top 12 of Latin America, Top 16 of US and Canada, and Top 22 of Europe.

Posts on the account contain a short context on what the illustration depicts, as well as the card name and illustrator credit. Both a digital image of the artwork and a digital image of the card are included. Occasionally, new cards are revealed via the new posts. The account has featured illustrations from as early as Generation I, publishing digital images that were previously unavailable publicly. The indispensable reference for any Pokémon fan, containing Pokémon from all regions including the newly discovered Galar region. Entrants could build a team of six from specific groups of then-legal cards/Pokémon. Registering a team also required making a guess to a tiebreaker question. After an invigorating return to competitive Pokémon during the 2022 Pokémon Championship Series, we have more details regarding the future of the series. The 2023 Pokémon Championship Series, leading to the 2023 Pokémon World Championships, will include four different Pokémon games: the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon video games, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE. Regional Championships and International Championships will continue to be hosted across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania, and Travel Awards will be available for these events.

Teams qualified for the Pokémon UNITE Championships by having the most Championship Points within their regional zone or winning their Regional Finals. Liko's hairpin resembles the Pokémon League logo featured on Ash's hat in the original series and on the shoes that were given to him by his mom.

The skilled novelist, Ayano Takeda, depicts the story of the two's "Treasure Hunt" from a unique perspective. PlotMatches took place in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and were all Double Battles. Revisit unforgettable moments in Ash's journey to become a Pokémon Master. Travel from Kanto to Kalos, Johto to Sinnoh, Alola and now Galar! Liko's main attire bears a resemblance to Oshawott, with her belt bag resembling Oshawott's scalchop. With Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet releasing later this year, we will reevaluate the structure of the 2023 VGC circuit. After the 2022 World Championships, there will be no Video Game Championship Series events until January 2023, when all competitive events will be played in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. More information will be released later in 2022. Now, on the games front; I hope you had fun playing the Scarlet/Violet Teal Mask storyline, and were able to catch the Hisuian variants of Decidueye and Typhlosion. If not, then don't let yourself down; you could always register an account and ask on the Online Connection Post, and hopefully a player will be willing to trade one with you. As such starting in this standard format, any Pokémon tool cards from the Sword and Shield era receive errata and are no longer considered item cards in play. The 2021-22 Standard format was announced on December 12, 2022, rotating out cards with the regulation mark.
