About this deal

The Rails on 6 are softer (on the lateral side only) and put more emphasis toward the lateral heel, thereby working together with the upper’s heel counter to rein in movement.

Transcend and Adrenaline have a lot in common: a supportive, cushioned ride and GuideRails in the same position. Featuring a DNA midsole that adapts to your weight, pace, gait, and running surface, this DNA technology ensures a personalised fit and feel every time. Specific DNA LOFT cushioning provides a plush underfoot feel without compromising on durability or support. Your natural stride is enhanced through Guide Rails, which keep your foot on its natural flow of movement and encourage improved posture and balance for a better running experience.Shopping for affordable running shoes often feels like scraping the bottom of the barrel, which makes the affordable Revel 6 feel like a hidden gem. It’s a well-made neutral trainer that just happens to have a very attractive price point. Part of Brooks’ Energize cohort of high energy return shoes, the Revel 6 serves up a bouncy ride that field testers compared to the Hyperion Tempo, one of the brand’s premium speed training shoes. If you're looking for comfort, you can't go wrong here; even if you don't need the extra support they offer. DNA Flash, like DNA Loft v3, is nitrogen-infused EVA foam, but it’s optimized for low weight and high energy return. It also offers some softness to absorb impacts. It’s Brooks’ lightest cushioning material, giving shoes like the Hyperion Tempo their propulsive, energetic ride. It’s the foam you want under your feet if you’re focused on speed training or racing.

The objective weight of Transcend makes it suitable for Clydesdales, however the propulsion design and soft-stable function make Transcend 6 work well for all runners: the ride is soft, supported, and feels light.Combining responsive cushioning with their GuideRails support system, Brooks present the Transcend 7 men’s running shoes. Designed with a supportive mesh upper, these trainers keep feet cool and comfortable on even the warmest of days. Cushion shoes, as the name implies, are designed to create a soft, pillowy feel underfoot. The Glycerin 20 is the flagship shoe in this category and Brooks’ most cushioned trainer. If you like plush, maximalist shoes that provide plenty of padding for your feet, this is where to start. This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. I jumped right in with the shoe but they really didn't feel fluid and comfortable until after about 20 miles. They are very stiff at first but free up after some break-in time.

A 3D Fit-Print saddle over the midfoot applies stretch and structure to the stretch-bootie-lined Double Jacquard Mesh body of the shoe. Comfort and stability mix nicely here for a plush feel that allows you to enjoy a nice long run or an easy recovery day. The GuideRails, which enforce stability without intruding on the natural arch, ensure that you stay neutral. DNA is the brand’s most basic EVA foam. Its primary attribute is softness, which it brings to entry-level shoes across all three shoe categories. While DNA doesn’t have the pillowy feel or high energy return of Brooks’ more advanced foams, it’s a tried-and-true option that creates dependable cushioning. If you just need a basic trainer and don’t want to spend a lot of money, DNA will work well for you.I am a road purest, not so much to preference but because of convenience. Brooks Transcend 7was wonderful with grip when it came to road/sidewalk and gravel. I felt extra secure and even on wet roads, these babies gripped excellently. The RW Takeaway: Lace up in the responsive and generously cushioned Glycerin 19 and Glycerin GTS 19 for all kinds of runs. Their luscious feel didn’t weigh us down as we pushed the pace during training. The Hyperion Elite has a relatively wide footbed compared to other elite racers, such as the Nike Vaporfly, which gives it a more stable ride (especially when cornering) and a more accommodating fit. Overall, the Hyperion Elite 3 is the best choice for longer races and marathons: You get a comfortable ride without compromising on weight or energy return. Deep flex grooves throughout the shoe, notably the forefoot seem to allow for a degree of flexibility. This isn’t a very lively shoe, but its ability to move with the runner is an upside and the lateral stability features are a nice addition. When running you will feel the weight which will limit the pace. On avg, I like to stay around the 8:00/mile mark. With these, I caught myself being comfortable at around 8:30/mile. I certainly didn't mind that though. When getting these, know that you will only use them for easy-paced effort.

The stability here is not for severe pronation but more for those who just would like a little extra support some days. Transcend 7 needs 20+ miles to break in Let’s begin with the fact I have never run in a version of the Brooks Transcend, so I had no idea what to expect, except for no medial post (which I greatly appreciate). I have a buddy that runs in them and seems to like them, so why not give them a shot? As much as I liked the upper material, I had to try adjusting the lacing a few times to get the fit right. While it’s nothing new, the DNA Loft has a nice way of adapting to the foot’s movement and keeps the ample cushioning consistent throughout. Beat up marathon-training legs will appreciate the Transcend 7.

Compare

Like the Ghost, it has a high drop, which may feel a bit clunky to runners used to lower-drop shoes. Even so, the plush heel cushioning softens impacts, and the thinner forefoot has good flexibility for snappy toe-offs. The air mesh upper breathes well and features lots of padding around the collar for comfy fit, and the high-coverage rubber outsole is grippy and tough enough to withstand high-mileage training routines.
