Janet then sees Starr's problem, and she puts her hands on Starr to stabilize her and stop her phasing. Everyone left as they took the Mobile Laboratory. [2] Free Man Again [ ] The lower half is my least favourite section of this model. The articulation continues to impress and the legs' slender shape was ideal for Spider-Man and his agile allies, but they seem much too narrow for Ant-Man. Adding some larger curved slopes would probably have improved the design, particularly on the thighs. The red Technic axles are also obtrusive, on the knees and ankles. I'm trying, okay? They all then went to the hangar to watch the test, with Barton being the first to travel through time in a controlled manner. They all stood together as Barton stood on the platform of the Quantum Tunnel while Banner prepared to send him into the past. Barton soon returned, and Lang witnessed as Barton threw Tony Stark a mitt that he had acquired from the past after successfully time-traveling. Ghost's Hideout: Lang, Hope van Dyne, and Hank Pym were held captive there briefly by the Ghost and managed to retrieve the Mobile Laboratory. Lang was introduced to a group of bullet ants, which he remembered as the kind that had covered the bedroom floor when he had awoken in the Pym Residence. When the ants charged at Lang, he yet again freaked out and used the Pym Particles to regrow to normal size. Finally, Pym showed Lang all of the fire ants which could be used as natural architects and transport Lang throughout tight corners and difficult to move locations by creating long structures, like rafts and bridges. Lang tested out his skills of communication with the Ants as he ran down the tunnels with them all as his tiny army. [1] This is your chance. They woke up and were found by Hank Pym, along with giant Ants that had advanced themselves during their time in the Quantum Realm. The three were determined to rescue Cassie Lang and Janet van Dyne from Kang the Conqueror, and they were supplied with a strategy from the ants. Lang also learnt that Pym had read his book.
While Lang initially had trouble communicating with the ants due to him constantly worrying about Cassie, after some counseling from van Dyne, he concentrated his constant concern into forming a strong connection with the ants at his disposal. [6] Mission Planning [ ] After his escape, Lang spent many nights crying himself to sleep due to all of the time he had lost with his daughter. He also began experiencing survivor's guilt, questioning why he was spared when so many other weren't. Van Dyne explained that she had been watching him all night because the last time Lang was at the Pym Residence he had robbed them. Lang was then invited down to breakfast, having to dodge the fire Ants that littered the floor around him.Baskin-Robbins: Once being released from prison, Lang briefly worked as a cashier at Baskin-Robbins until the manager learned of his criminal record and had him fired. His Giant-Man persona doesn't exist in the Earth-616 (mainstream) continuity, but rather on Earth-1610, the Ultimates comics. Here, Lang never became Ant-Man, but inherits from Hank Pym the title of Giant-Man, a super-soldier working for S.H.I.E.L.D.
