Now that you have 2 Sensor Pads linked to your monitor, you'll be able to set the Sensor Pad sensitivity accordingly to the mattress.A full Memory Foam or Dual sided Memory Foam Mattress masks the movement of baby on the surface due to the density of the foam: again, movements do not transfer down to the Sensor Pad. As a result, the monitor may false alarm indicating that movement is not being detected by the Sensor Pad. Angelcare AC517 received perfect scores for its visual performance. Install the parents' unit. Connect the AC adapter to the parents' unit and plug the other end into an electrical outlet. Insert the batteries included with the unit. Allow the unit to charge for 15 continuous hours before using the monitor, according to the Angelcare monitor instruction manual. Install the sensor pads under the mattress. With the printed side facing up, place the sensor pad under the crib's mattress in the middle of the crib. No bedding should be between the mattress and sensor pad. Secure the sensor pad using a tie wrap. The cord of the sensor pad should pass beneath the mattress and run along the floor so that it will be out of your baby's reach. To set-up the functions of each Sensor Pad, make sure you have selected the relevant Nursery Unit. This information will be displayed on the blue top info bar.

Is it good value for money?

To conserve energy the screen turns itself off unless it is plugged into the mains. It would have been nice to be able to override this, but few monitors make this possible. How does it look? If the connection has been made, the Green Successful Pairing Icon will appear on the screen and the menu will show the OK Paired Icon . This process can take up to 15 seconds. Set the sensitivity of your monitor to the lowest setting. Ensure the Sensor Pad is placed in the middle (centre) of baby's sleeping area. Switch on all units (Nursery and Parent) and step away from the cot. After 20 seconds an alarm should sound to indicate that no movement has been detected. These all allow the Sensor Pad to fully detect your baby's movement which is transferred through the mattress.
