This is advice that my good friend Danielle shared with me years ago — and it’s a practical approach to helping me find balance even to this day!It's connected to poor performance at work, obesity, diabetes, excessive risk-taking behavior, and heart disease. The miracle of birth may be miraculous, but it also wreaks havoc on your hormones and throws everything off balance. During sleep, they are often active, twitching their arms and legs, smiling, sucking and generally appearing restless. Sleep problems are common, and the reasons we struggle to sleep are likely to change throughout our lives, for instance, illness, work or having a baby are possible causes.

The negative impact of being a mom on your quality of sleep starts before your baby is born (sleeping with the compressed bladder and beach ball belly of pregnancy isn't easy) and can last well beyond kindergarten. Parents go through a lot of changes in a short span of time, and your mind will need to process it all.
