He will drop the occasional crumb of information about dealings with the Russians, but as for possible ongoing threats, or reasons for them, he speaks only about an imaginary villain, a ‘scarecrow’ whom the Russians invented to get the British to follow.

London's Slough House is where washed-up MI5 spies go to while away what's left of their failed careers. Chris Reilly as Nick Duffy (series 1–3), head of MI5's internal affairs and tactical unit nicknamed the "Dogs". Curly and River engage in a brief shoot-out, before the former is knocked out by Hassan with a rock. Slough House Book 6: Jackson Lamb would rather be left brooding in peace, but even he can't ignore the dried blood on his carpets.
