There are moments in the soundtrack that definitely blow you away volume-wise, while simultaneously there are those quiet moments that draw you in with the subtleties. I'm pleased to report that this BD release boasts a surround track that betters the previous R1 DVD's THX certified track, which is no mean feat; highly recommended and a reference grade audio track. The task of writing the screenplay for this film was given to Jim Uhls, who I must say has done a wonderful job of making the novel work as a movie. Like Tyler Durden himself, director David Finchers FIGHT CLUB, based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk, is startlingly aggressive and gleefully mischievous as it skewers the superficiality of American pop culture.

Those who wish to hang on to their original DVDs just for the Easter Eggs also should definitely consider picking a copy, because this is a great opportunity to do so. Norton, in particular, has a very good grasp on his character and the plot, adding a lot of interesting insight.There are a couple of new special features, but nothing in the way of retrospective documentaries - I would have loved a feature about the post-'Fight Club' fallout like then-Fox head Bill Mechanic getting axed.

Right from the opening title sequence from the Dust Brothers, the improvement here is very noticeable.
