About this deal

A herbaceous blend of nettle leaf, dandelion root and fennel seed, cooled with peppermint and aloe vera. Be mindful that licorice root is not recommended during pregnancy (although small amounts of it in tea will be okay), or if taking medication to control low potassium levels or blood pressure and some other medications (please check this before using if you are on any medications). Most of the stinging hairs are on the top of the leaves so grab the plant by the bottom of the leaves or the stem. But for variation, you can also try adding Rose Hips for amazing vitamin C and bioflavinoid content, with a pleasant sweet-tart taste! We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product.

There aren't any clear instructions on the box, other than to use off the boil water and leave it to brew for 10 minutes, but I presume that you don't add milk or sugar to this tea, so that's how I drank it. We pick our teas carefully, choosing only the finest ingredients and always ensuring fair wages for suppliers, opting for smaller farmers where we can. Studies on nettle’s efficacy involve ingesting a large amount of nettle (more than in a cup of tea or two) on a daily basis for several weeks or more, without adverse side effects. I drank this tea regularly throughout many years as my first 2 babies were born 13 months apart and my body needed all the help and support it could get! While every care is taken to ensure that our product information is correct, food products and recipes are constantly being reformulated meaning that ingredients, allergens, dietary and nutritional content may change from time to time. The odd cup is generally fine but if you want to enjoy several a day, it is important to check first. Hi Julie, ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, pepper and cordyceps would all be nice warming herbs and spices to enjoy in the colder months.
