About this deal

Ally D'Aplièse is about to compete in one of the world's most perilous yacht races, when she hears the news of her adoptive father's sudden, mysterious death. I want to know how this will all turn out in the end but after reading the "authors note" it seems I have to wait until book 7 comes out.

I also liked Anna, she may be naive and innocent, but she learns to stand up for herself and use her talent to get herself out of various difficult situations.Bet on the next round of the game - each novel corresponds to its own kind of art: the first sculpture, the second music. The only thing in this book that I hated more than the character of Theo was the romanticization of his character that everyone fell into as soon as he was dead. When I saw that he was nice to his mom, I thought, maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt. There are some hits (The Midnight Rose) , and some that are a nightmare (The Orchid House, I'm lookin' at you). And it is when she has a forced separation from her love that her story leads to tragedy, just as in the Greek myth.

The Storm Sister by Lucinda Riley is book 2 in The Seven Sister series I had great expectations for this one because I absolutely loved the first book 😍 but this one I found didn't really hold my interest for very long. Of course, nobody knows the truth except me (and my husband if he can ever remember it), and it hasn’t been a challenge at all to keep it a secret – it’s been great fun. Learning about what happened in Norway was also eye-opening, as it is a theatre of war that often isn’t taught in history classes. An amazing example of dialogue during an emotional moment: “I wrapped my hands around his neck and planted a kiss on the top of his head, ‘Thank you so much for saying that. It really did become the background music to my own childhood, as he eulogized about the beauty of the country, especially the magnificent fjords.Star’s story will take us from the wilds of Cumbria and the raw beauty of the Lake District to the excesses and social whirl of Edwardian London. There, Ally begins to discover her roots - and how her story is inextricably bound to that of a young unknown singer, Anna Landvik, who lived there over a hundred years before, and sang in the first performance of Grieg's iconic music set to Ibsen's play 'Peer Gynt'. But the amount and level of grief she goes through, made me sympathetic as well as root for her till the very end.
