About this deal

Very interesting book that builds on the knowledge I already had of how our emotions control our lives. Praise for Power vs Force: Perhaps the most important and significant book I've read in the past ten years. Obviously, this changes for each individual but Letting Go is a book that will provide numerous readers with such moments even after the third or fourth reading. In the beginning, if one is unfamiliar with the whole subject of feelings, it is often advisable to begin merely by observing them without any intention of doing anything about them. Attachment and dependence occur because we feel incomplete within ourselves; therefore, we seek objects, people, relationships, places, and concepts to fulfill inner needs.

This book is full of nothing but filler words, examples of people that overcame this or that, but with no discussion of how or what they did.Only during the process of reading this book, the statements and stories became more and more bizarre. As we keep letting go of our resistance to being a forgiving person, it is often surprising that it will come up with a surge.

The letting go technique (surrender) was found to be of great practical benefit and is described in this book.

The book continues with detailed chapters on all emotions, again starting from the lowest frequency emotions and onto the higher ones. Furthermore, the significance of focusing on good ideas for health, since "what is held in mind tends to express itself through the body". In Letting Go , he shares from his clinical and personal experience that surrender is the surest route to total fulfillment. The mechanism of projection is that which allows us to abdicate responsibility for our own shadow and therefore continue the cycle of suppression. Before it was something that I intuitively felt but upon reading the book I understood that no one was immune to emotional suppression.

He has conferred with foreign governments on international diplomacy and has been instrumental in resolving long–standing conflicts that were major threats to world peace. Many of us have been raised to correlate worldly and even spiritual accomplishment with “hard work,” “keeping our nose to the grindstone,” “living by the sweat of our brow,” and other self-stringent axioms inherited from a culture steeped in the Protestant ethic. The accumulated feelings block spiritual growth and awareness, as well as success in many areas of life.

He has served as an advisor to Catholic, Protestant, and Buddhist monasteries, appeared on major network television and radio programs, and lectured widely at such places as Westminster Abbey, the Oxford Forum, the University of Notre Dame, and Harvard University.

Much like the rising of the sea level lifts all ships, so the radiance of unconditional love within a human heart lifts all of life. Thus, this level is characterized by optimism and the feeling that with the correct facts, education, and orientation, sooner or later most problems can be worked out satisfactorily. Somewhat later, the former thoughts can now be looked at and their character will be observed to have changed. After about 45 minutes of this nonsense, I thought "What is that about"There are chapters on various emotions.

Letting go involves being aware of a feeling, letting it come up, staying with it, and letting it run its course without wanting to make it different or do anything about it. One of the most powerful realizations I gained from the book was an understanding that almost every individual on the planet carries with them a huge quantity of suppressed and repressed emotions. This audiobook is equally useful for all dimensions of human life: physical health, creativity, financial success, emotional healing, vocational fulfillment, relationships, sexuality, and spiritual growth. Hawkins as a teacher of advanced awareness, exemplified in the title, "Foremost Teacher of the Way to Enlightenment. This book would be about half it's actual length if you cut the lists to manageable size and removed the outlandish claims (such as it being able to cure allergies).
