Unlike their 2015 debut record, the second album consists mainly of original material, written by the band.

These guys play music together purely for fun, choosing covers which have impacted them throughout their life and career and adding that ever-elusive sense of genuine enjoyment to their music.Rock in Rio is not only one of the most well-known music festivals, but also the origin of Hollywood Vampires' first live Album. However, the fact that this collaboration turned out to be commercially interesting is more a logical side effect than the ambition itself.

HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES' sophomore album "Rise", produced by Tommy Henriksen and the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, was hailed as one of the purest, most unapologetic and enjoyable rock and roll albums of 2019, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form. This is more of a blues/rock number which is carried by a tough as fuck guitar riff that toys with Cooper’s vocals in a tit-for-tat battle that sees music as the only winner. If Cooper doesn’t nail this next track then the band should get off-stage because that song is one of his own, School’s Out. Made up of Joe Perry ( Aerosmith), Alice Cooper, Tommy Henriksen ( Warlock) and Johnny Depp ( 21 Jump Street), the Hollywood Vampires have been strutting their stuff at their own leisure since 2012, releasing their first album in 2015.It’s hard to separate this review from the visual concert and the audio CD, but both are full of wonderful musicianship. In 2015, the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES not only released their first album, but also played one of their biggest concerts, which will now be released as their first live album. It’s an energetic and confident take on a timeless classic, which, when tackled by other true legends of the scene, becomes an entirely new beast altogether. I love Brian Johnson but the version of "Whole Lotta Love" he did on the first Vampires album was terrible; the Alice/Lzzy version works much better.

This is another brave selection by the band, but when you consider they are fronted by Alice Cooper would you expect anything to the contrary? Opening with their own track ‘Raise the Dead’, Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen covered a variety of rock classics by artists including The Who, The Rolling Stones, T.The accompanying music video shows the sheer magnitude of this concert and the reactions that this song still evokes in people — even 55 years after it was written. That songs like ‘Cold Turkey’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and ‘Brown Sugar’ belong to the timeless classics is well known and also on this release the sound of those stunning moments in rock enchant the listener.
