In a lot of ways, the Hesh 3 headset is similar to the Crusher, only a little smaller, and with a slightly different control placement. The one thing I couldn't discern when putting together this review is if the earpads are replaceable.

There's a strong bass presence here, but it's never over the top, and the high-mids and highs arguably command more of the spotlight. It doesn’t sit in the same register that causes sibilance, but it does highlight digital noise introduced by either the Bluetooth transmission or the DAC. On Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild," the kick drum loop's attack gets some added high-mid presence, helping it retain its sharp edge and slice through the layers of the mix. For starters, the clamp is pretty tight, and that can get a little uncomfortable over long listening periods. The most important part of the headphone, the headband, is reinforced by a metal band that inspires even more confidence.

In our testing, we found that whilst the Hesh 3 didn't live up to its bold claim of 22 hours from a single charge, it did come pretty close.
