About this deal

I get a watermelon and just a slight hint of pepper in the opening when it dries down a bit the cinnamon and cardamon come out to play. Both Chic and Polo Blue are classified as woody scents but like Bleu de and Sauvage (in it's brief opening at least), they come across as fruity frags.

Extremely pleasant opening thats sweet and fresh both at the same time - the watermelon and the citruses really sing together! And also the fragrance is chic in an unpretentious way, because it is rather casual - in a charming way. Eastern mysteriousness and sensuality are felt in the base notes: sandalwood, cedar, ambergris, musk and Tonka bean. This is for a carrier oriented woman that doesn't give sh*t what others think of her (and wouldn't care if you are suffocating from her perfume). This is one of the few scents where I looked at the notes pyramid and conjured what the scent must smell like and had the vision square with reality.

I don't get much fruitiness from the melon, I'm surprised it has been voted as the most prominent note. One of the Fore-Fathers of the modern day "best selling" generics, Chic by Carolina Herrera is a a fruity, woody, spicey concoction that is a very people friendly scent. The drydown introduces a vanilla-amber combo, which is very pleasant, although nothing groundbreaking or unique. Today, we see Chic's ingredient list is featuring Hydroxycitronellal, one of the oldest and another very common muguet material. I purchased a supposedly 2008 version based on the batch code, so either it lost it's strength or it just doesn't perform well.

Though daisy won the 1st impression but after few mins it gave me headche where chic was getting better with time. Below you can see the longest potential duration for storage on a device, as set when using the cookie method of storage and if there are any other methods used. This is not something I could wear often, I was gifted a big bottle and it will probably take me 10 years to finish it. But this does smel different then all my other colognes and is a welcome addition to any collection. If you want something other than a blue scent that is masculine along with being office safe this is a good choice. I can assure you that, regardless of men/women, designer/niche, wherever you pick a scent, there's a good chance they featured either or both originally. For me this is a scent that I wear in spring and summer, when I want to smell fresh, it cools me down.

It is floral (I detect mostly fresh rose and freesia) and sweet (in a 00's way), but somehow it smells like berries on me. I think both of these might be the same but to be sure the white box with the huge red box logo that says within it CHIC is the one I have had success with. I like very much this scent because the smell it's not overwhelming and have good sillage and last long. The longevity is moderate at around 6-7 hours and sillage is also moderate giving a nice scent bubble of 4-6 feet.Maybe bit and Diesel Only The Brave, has a similar vibe, but again, it remains recognizable Caroline stil.

It opens up with like fresh citrusy and watermelon , after about 15 minutes it changes like slightly spicy pepper and cinnamon in the background , then dry down is sweet musky. Very well designed fragrance and a very unique offering considering the other releases from the past few years. Opens with an all-too-familiar black pepper aquatic opening, with more of a bitter orange peel scent than a sweet orange smell. Start with a fresh watermelon and lemon scent, slowly getting more fresh and somehow becomes more calmly from the scent of cinnamons and rosin wood.

The base notes come alive when you smell both amber/woodsy(cedar) notes as well as Tonka beans which sweeten the frag after it has settled to give it a real sexy appeal.
