About this deal

The Porro versions have a tripod adapter thread and can be easily connected to a regular photo tripod. As for a maximum age, a lot depends on their previous exposure to optics, but these should be perfectly fine for kids of about 10 or 11 years old. turns), turns buttery smooth and has to my taste a very good resistance, not too tight, not too loose. I like this a lot better as it gives you much greater flexibility when choosing the right amount of eye-relief, which is also more than the 8x56, but I will get onto that a little later in the review. I consider anything at or 6ft as being excellent, so these come close, and certainly, the better option should you occasionally like to view things like flowers, butterflies, and other insects from a very close range.

This family contains a wide range of binoculars, with 7 models (5 porro prism designs and 2 compact roof prisms). Thankfully this one had no problems but after a while I got rid of it because the optics were just not good enough to be useful for me. In regular daylight usage my eyes tell me that the apparent brightness of this model is good but not very good or excellent. these compare well against other 42mm binoculars (especially mid-to-high end ones) and you can immediately notice the difference when you also pick up the 8x56 Pirsh ED which weighs in at 34. Of course a value exceeding 7 degrees is not bad but in this class a high-end pair of binoculars is expected to have a field as wide as 7.Nevertheless, for most birders, and most situations, they do the job more than adequately, and it wasn’t as though they made birding at dawn or dusk a chore or even impossible. Whether you´re walking in the mountains, observing the Eifel tower or watching a sports event, these all-round binoculars are guaranteed to provide the perfect view in all types of situations. On top of this the Binocom 7x50 CLS and 7x50 GAL binoculars also have a built-in illuminable 360° precision compass to help with navigation and the 7x magnification power makes easier to achieve a relatively steady image during rough sea conditions. With the rotatable and lockable eyecups, you can adjust the eye distance for the observation with and without glasses; a dioptric correction is standard. A lot of compact binoculars have 25mm optics, but the extra aperture of the Bresser 32mm Condors bring more light to your eyes when you need it, such as when the sun is low or the scene is cast in shadow.

The gearing is also very similar, with both models taking just over two full turns 720°) to move from minimum focal distance to infinity. Metal eye-piece housings and eyecups that are tough with an excellent twist up/down mechanism and more than 17mm of eye-relief. The focus knob, conveniently located in the center of the bridge, is rubber coated and knurled for a better grip. Like the 56mm version, these also sport an open bridge design, but what is interesting here is the fact that the distance between the two bridges is about the same on both (5cm) which means that even though the 56 is longer, you don't get any more room for your fingers to fit in-between this gap. In the Bresser Pirsch ED binoculars you get an inverting system based on Schmidt-Pechan prisms which are dielectric and phase-corrected.

Add their compact dimensions into the equation and these are ideal full size travel and therefore safari binoculars. They’re neat and straightforward, and perhaps the biggest compliment you can pay the design is that you really don’t think about it when you’re using them – you can start using them straight from the box without having to think about anything else. The dioptre setting is on the right barrel, and while it’s not calibrated or lockable in any way, it’s easy to set and stays in place well while you’re out in the field. The gas purged filling of the Nautic binoculars prevents water and moisture from entering the binocular by creating an interior pressure capsule and are therefore the ideal binocular for maritime use on board. The forums are dedicated to wild birds, birding, binoculars and equipment and all that goes with it.

As I referenced in other reviews my use of the term “sweet spot” refers to the size of the field of view that is in focus with the center of the field of view. The Bresser Condor 10x42 binocular is Waterproof, Fogproof, has quality BaK-4 prisms and is fully multi coated.

Mit unserem Fernglas-ABC, unserer Fernglas Fibel und einer Einführung zur Geschichte und wichtigen Kennzahlen des Fernglases beraten wir Sie gerne vor und nach dem Kauf. There are currently five models within the Pirsch ED series, all of which have an open bridge roof prism design and range in size from the mid-sized 34mm versions, to large 56mm models. The BRESSER S-Series 8×42 is a roof prism binocular with a magnification of 8x and an optical aperture of 42mm.

In terms of their included accessories, all Bresser Condor binoculars are supplied with a padded neck strap. This 8x42 Bresser Pirsch ED binocular on the other hand is genuinely a fantastic all-rounder, sure it may not match the 8x56 in very low light, but thanks to quality optics and coatings, it is no slouch either and performs very well against its direct 8x42 competition. I almost want to use the comparison of "dark red versus lighter red" though neither the red color bias nor the difference between the two is that pronounced to find either objectionable.Made by Bresser, Bresser Wave 8x42 Binoculars is available in a range of sizes and colours, and comes complete with everything you´ll need. I also like the double hinge design on the compact 25mm Bresser Montana binoculars which enables the instrument to fold up into an ultra space-saving shape making them a true pocket binocular and thus are much easier to carry to sporting events, on hiking trips and even to the museum. Bresser is a brand with a long and venerable history in birdwatching, but we’ve seen relatively little of them in recent years. A high quality multilayer coating on all glass elements reduce distracting reflections and improves the light transmission and provides a high contrast also in bad light conditions. Whilst I have no complaints with the actual function, when compared to the level of the other accessories that come included with these Bresser Pirsch ED 8x42 binoculars, the lens covers are not quite a match.
