I have just seen a version of this 2 CD issue for sale on E-bay claiming that CD 1 is a mis-pressed and plays as Pink Floyd's The Wall CD 1 even though printed up correctly. CD 's play ok good quality track book front cover missing still ok,case is not in brilliant condition signs off damage but not a bad purchase.

In 1984, CBS and WEA launched a rival series, titled The Hits, which focused on big American acts like Madonna, Prince and Bruce Springsteen. It featured hits like Estelle's American Boy, The Ting Tings' That's Not My Name and Flo Rida's Low.

Elsewhere, Fine Young Cannibals step up to the big time with ‘She Drives Me Crazy’ and Sam Brown makes here mark with the excellent ‘Stop’. By contrast, Now was a joint venture between two of the UK's biggest record labels, EMI and Virgin, giving compilers immediate access to the day's biggest songs. This March 1989 compilation is something of a mish-mash and documents the changing music scene in the UK in the late 1980s with Yazz, S’Express, Inner City, Tone Loc and Neneh Cherry representing a new wave of artists which could be loosely grouped in the dance/hip-hop/house/acid house genres. INXS - Need You Tonight: Similar percussion to 'She Drives Me Crazy', great riff, another one not included on the 2023 CD.Michael Jackson has only appeared twice: On Now 4, with the drippy 1970s ballad Farewell My Summer Love, and again on Now 88 with the posthumous single Love Never Felt So Good. The series was so successful that compilation albums were quarantined into a separate chart in 1999. This collection comes to a close with ‘Love Changes Everything’ from Michael Ball, taken from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical Aspects Of Love. There’s still room for old school acts however with Simple Minds’ UK number one ‘Belfast Child’ included along with contributions from Status Quo, Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney (with Marc Almond, of course) and the decidedly unhip Michael Ball singing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Love Changes Everything’! That's why each of our records is first meticulously cleaned and then not just inspected once, but twice, before a sample is play-tested to make sure it sounds as good as it looks.
