About this deal

The Leviathan Cross symbol consists of an infinity sign at the bottom and a double cross at the top, representing balance, protection, free choice, individualism, and a mockery of the Christian cross. The enormous size of the Leviathan is described by Johanan bar Nappaha, from whom proceeded nearly all the aggadot concerning this monster: "Once we went in a ship and saw a fish which put his head out of the water. This creature, which reveals no end and no beginning, is taken to be the sign of the unending nature of the soul and the universe, tying it to the concepts of rebirth and resurrection.

A symbol for the alchemical element Sulfur, (Brimstone) which is spiritually analogous to the human soul.Above is the double cross in which the lower crossbar is usually represented wider than the one on top.

In alchemy, the Leviathan Cross represents the symbol for sulfur — and that is considered one of the three main essential elements of nature. The pentacle is a well recognized symbol that has been used (and still is) within many religious practices. Water is depicted by a triangle with its single vertex pointing up, while the complimentary element, fire, is depicted as a triangle with the vertex pointing down. Leviathan can also be used as an image of the devil, endangering both God's creatures—by attempting to eat them—and God's creation—by threatening it with upheaval in the waters of Chaos. Symbols allow us to go beyond what is known or seen by creating links between concepts and experiences. The festival of Sukkot (Festival of Booths) therefore concludes with a prayer recited upon leaving the sukkah (booth): "May it be your will, Lord our God and God of our forefathers, that just as I have fulfilled and dwelt in this sukkah, so may I merit in the coming year to dwell in the sukkah of the skin of Leviathan.

The Zohar remarks that the legend of the righteous eating the skin of the leviathan at the end of the days is not literal, and merely a metaphor for enlightenment. Parallels to the role of Mesopotamian Tiamat defeated by Marduk have long been drawn in comparative mythology, as have been wider comparisons to dragon and world serpent narratives such as Indra slaying Vrtra or Thor slaying Jörmungandr. The general way people see things is that if a symbol is inverted, the resulting shape must indicate the opposite of the original meaning. Both the name and the mythological figure are a direct continuation of the Ugaritic sea monster Lôtān, one of the servants of the sea god Yammu defeated by Hadad in the Baal Cycle. In ancient Judaism it was a symbol found in mysticism, related to the top portion of the Tree of Life in the Kabbalah, it stood for the 5 books of the Torah (what Christians refer to as the Pentateuch in the Old Testament of the Bible) and the symbol was featured in a seal representing the secret names of God.The pentagram is representing the pagan culture while the Queen of Heaven on the inside of the shield represents the Christian culture. According to Hobbes, God made the “great power of Leviathan,” named him “King of the Proud” and said: “ There is nothing on earth, to be compared with him. The infinity sign underlines the constant and infinite nature and most likely symbolizes the eternal universe, this may have been used by Anton LaVey in The Satanic Bible to as a mockery of the cross, to show that humans are their own centrum of balance, and truth.

The double cross stands on the center of one of the most intriguing and enigmatic symbols humans know – the sign for infinity which looks like the figure ‘8’ lying on its side.Included in God's lengthy description of his indomitable creation is Leviathan's fire-breathing ability, his impenetrable scales, and his overall indomitability in Job 41. The story of its defeat alludes to battles by heroes against sea serpents that can be found in Mesopotamian, Hindu and Norse mythology. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven. The right image is the same sigil in cuneiform from the Joy of Satan Ministries, a recreation of the sigil of Baphomet incorporated with cuneiform lettering instead of Hebrew to spell out "Satan", and made after Maxine Dietrich's reinterpretation of the ideology of spiritual Satanism.
