About this deal

Some things require the hand to be sideways, generally in this case I have the flat side on the inside and curved side on the outside of the minifig. The four fingers feature three joints each and the thumb features two joints, just like a real hand. Given that the pinky is shorter, and that the thumb is further away from the pinky, I would think that the "fatter" end makes more sense to be the "top" of the hand (pointing up/forward). Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

I just showed someone, who knows hardly anything about Lego, a minifigure with its hands orientated differently and she said the flat-topped, wider section up hand looked better. I've just given it a try with a minifig holding a goblet, and there's definitely a difference in how "active" the goblet is. With the exception for monkeys, LEGO hands have never been used for any other purpose by LEGO besides being hands for minifigures.Although many different types of hands are used today, the yellow hand remains a standard for the Town/ City Themes and other non-movie based original LEGO Themes. Cos I look at my hands and when they are curled the top part is naturally curved and shorter cos of the thumb. The data usage is for personalised functionalities, content and ads, content and ad measurements, as well as to ensure the stability and continuous improvement of our systems and to gain insights into product development and target groups. The Robot Hand can pick up the carrier from two different sides – the smooth white side and the studded blue side.

They also allow us to test different behaviours and functionalities and measure and evaluate their suitability. Metal objects and fragile glass containers, for example, are often handled using pneumatic hands or grippers. This trend continued until 1989, when the first different shaped LEGO hands came out, which was in the form of a pirate hook. That's the typical orientation, because the wider parts represents the longer fingers and the thumb (supposedly, first time I consciously think about it).The last few years have seen massive jumps in terms of minifig detail, first dual molded arms and legs, now side and toe printing on legs, (the new Sam Wilson cap looks amazing and is what got me thinking about this) and all that’s really left to improve is the hands, either dual molded or printed, or both. Add to that the fact that I've done it that way for the last 30-odd years and the other way round just looks wrong! The project has taken me about three months to develop and to perfect, and about 85% of the pieces were retrieved from the 42077 Rally Car set. BUT, the default for me is with the flat side up, so if the fig is emptyhanded the hand is flat side up.

Yeah, there maybe a few missed ones, but I'm pretty sure the numbers (of MF in that hand orientation on official lego images) don't lie. The model can be put into a wide variety of realistic hand positions, such as forming a fist, holding up any number of fingers (4 is pictured), snapping, performing the Jedi mind-trick from Star Wars, or even holding small objects like a pencil or a minifigure (no, these wouldn't be included :D).
