About this deal

We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. Very full-bodied and very woody, it has matured in scotch barrels, in addition to the oak barrel, which gives it notes of vanilla that enhance its complexity.

In 1847, a young Bavarian immigrant named Johann Gramp planted the Barossa Valley's first commercial Vineyard on the banks of Jacob's Creek.Cork taint is more common in bottles with a traditional cork closure, and is recognisable by a damp, rotten wood or rotten cardboard smell. GRAPEShiraz AROMA AND PALATE: A soft, approachable wine, Eaglehawk Shiraz has bright, fruity aromas of blackcurrants and dark.

Golden honey nut fruit and oak is commercially attractive but it’s not real, a facade over a ripe yet tart wine. It’s not about subtlety or complexity, it’s about sheer mass of rich and generous flavour, and for that I admire it.

Finishing of the wine in an extremely rare Scotch Whisky barrel which once aged a rare 50 year old single malt Scotch Whisky. The wine has a subtle hint of whisky from being aged in whisky barrels and this makes the wine really well rounded and good for drinking either with food or alone. The wine is made from a blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and the result is a full-bodied, complex red wine. From the vine to the bottle, the mission for Jacob's Creek is simply to improve the quality of each vintage. This wine is first matured in traditional wine barrels, followed by a second maturation in Caribbean rum barrels to build additional layers of complexity and new nuances.
