About this deal

Bestselling Author and award-winning Filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza expose widespread, coordinated voter fraud in the 2020 election, sufficient to change the overall outcome. Hidden in the heart of Russia, there is a Soviet-era city where thousands of people live and work behind barbed-wire fences monitored by armed guards. The impetus is a Halloween convention held in South Pasadena (site of the original filming), from which a considerable amount of footage is drawn. For those of us who have been following this film series for years—the devotees to whom this package is most directly pitched—some of the two-disc set’s material covers pretty familiar ground, but there are also plenty of surprises and enough fresh material to satisfy even the most jaded Michael Myers maniac.

Chock full of cool information and rare tidbits, this one is, to my knowledge, really the first out of the gate in terms of a fan-made FULL retrospective on a film.I have been a fan of Halloween since first seeing it many years ago and being truly scared by what I saw. Ein wenig mehr Kommentare von Jamie Lee Curtis, als wichtige Hauptdarstellerin hätte ich mir dann noch gewünscht. It examines why the films are so popular and revisits many of the original locations used in the films - seeing the effects on the local community.

Sending the stage appearances off on a high note, Akkad and Yablans appear together, fielding audience ideas for the ninth film, going into detail on the ’78 film’s origins and giving both their fellow Halloween creators and the franchise’s devotees due appreciation. With Zombie preparing his entry for, one presumes, a 2007 release, Halloween’s legacy will obviously extend beyond 25 years (and already has, if you want to nitpick). Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest, a documentary about the making of Halloween on disc 2, plus On Location 25 Years Later and trailers, T V and radio spots. In one convention clip, this devotion is rewarded when a drawing is held to award a lucky fan the chance to appear in the ninth Halloween; the winner is a cute girl whose victory is evidently unrelated to the fact that she flashes the documentarians’ camera elsewhere on the disc.Topics discussed include the logistics of shooting certain scenes - like that now legendary opening set piece, the challenge of making various California locations, in the spring, look like the Midwest in the autumn, the hiring of key players Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis, Carpenter's composition of his now iconic score, and the incredible legacy of the movie - not just its own succession of sequels (some of which get mentioned briefly) but the onslaught of slasher movies to come, with some of those choosing to centre around a national holiday as well. soundtrack was created by Chace Productions in association with Alan Howarth using the original 16-track music studio master and the original 35mm magnetic dialogue and effects tracks.

Editor's Note: This was originally published for FANGORIA on July 25, 2006, and we're proud to share it as part of The Gingold Files . The titular 84-minute documentary is surrounded by such a surfeit of supplementary material that it almost becomes too much of a good thing, even to a die-hard Halloween fan like myself. Also quite fascinating was the coverage of fans and the activities attending the first Halloween convention in 2003. The bonus features contains many panel discussions, so if you love those, you will appreciate the second disc from this set. The inclusion of these outtakes also provides a showcase for a few actors who didn’t make it into 25 Years itself, like the initial movie’s Charles Cyphers and P.A fine documentary about the franchise (the first 8 movies) and interviews with people who work on those movies. Intensely driven, he overcame personal and professional challenges to secure his place amongst the greatest vocalists in history. Particularly those who enjoy the wave of groundbreaking films from the seventies among which was this first classic monsterpiece that started it all. Ranjit, a farmer in India, takes on the fight of his life when he demands justice for his 13-year-old daughter, the victim of a brutal gang rape. However, those more familiar with the Halloween chronicles may find that, regrettably but inevitably, the most interesting material on view accentuates the negative.
