About this deal

The side buttons are well-placed, as they're high enough that you won't accidentally trigger them but still within reach. It has a great build quality and a comfortable shape that's well-suited for most hand sizes using a palm or claw grip. However, the G703 can be used wirelessly with its USB receiver, while the G403 is a wired-only mouse.

As for other buttons, the DPI switches on the G403 and G Pro put us off with their glossy finish, as do the thumb buttons, but this is something that can be ignored pretty easily once used to the mice. The Logitech G703 LIGHTSPEED with HERO Sensor and the Logitech G403 HERO have very similar designs and perform almost the same. The matte finish and grippy thumb texture make for an easy fit in the hand, with a comfortable surface to use all day. The G403 and G Pro both use a mechanical rotary encoder to process their scroll input, resolving the LED/optical conflict and allowing for backlights within the wheel.
