About this deal

I’ll just quickly show you a couple more sections of the app so that you can see what kind of additional functionality it adds to your experience with the FP-30X. To access most features, you need to rely on button-key combos, which are something I’ve always found to be quite annoying (although it does keep the front panel looking clean and minimal). The problem here is that there are 100 distinct volume levels, and you can never tell what setting you’re currently at without relying on external applications (connected to your digital piano via Bluetooth). The Roland FP-30X is the perfect instrument for doing just that: After arriving with the piano and its power adapter (and of course the necessary sheet music), all that needs to be done is set it up on a table and plug it in - then it's show time.

As well as this traditional sound, open up a whole new world of what your piano can do thanks to Bluetooth connectivity. The FP-30X makes a fantastic piano for the home; twin headphone sockets mean no messing around with adaptors when you don’t want to disturb those around you, and when you want to perform the FP-30X features a dedicated mode that optimises the sound through the downward-facing speakers so there’s no compromise in quality if you need to place your piano on a desk or table. Boasting Ivory feel keys with Roland's latest touch-detection technology, the PHA-4 keyboard will always deliver an expressive performance. While other instruments might include better controls or more sounds, it is hard to beat Roland’s PHA-4 Standard in terms of realism.

If it is deemed that the repair is required due to any of the areas covered, Rimmers Music will pay for the expert and the subsequent repair or replacement. They both have “not very good” user interfaces that rely heavily on function key combinations, and the apps for both pianos really aren’t the greatest, but the Casio does have a couple of things in ITS favour; it is SUPER light at around 25 lbs, and it can run on batteries. For more information on how we handle your personal details, please see our Privacy Policy Please note that we reserve the right to reject payments should they not meet the required security guidelines from card issuing banks. It’s worth mentioning that Roland did their homework and tried mitigating the issue by adjusting the sound based on where you use the instrument. The original FP-30 is 5 years old at this point, and it’ll be important to see if its updated counterpart brings anything new to the table. Roland didn’t make ANY improvements to the user interface, so this is still a big issue with me (but to be totally honest, it might NOT be an issue at ALL for you). While you could argue that this is in part due to the upgraded samples, I still think that these speakers feel better tuned to serve the richer sounds.

After speaking to many people over the years that own a digital piano, I am always surprised to hear how little they play around with the features available. I got the official wood frame white stand and 3 pedals, I think it is worth having a proper solid stand for home use.The Roland company was founded in 1972 in Osaka, Japan, and has been designing and building electronic musical instruments ever since. So here’s a demo of some of the main sounds on the FP-30X, focusing on the pianos; I’ll include some split and layer demos as well, including modifying relative volumes, and shifting octaves.
