Tom Rob Smith imagines the evacuation and the panic that would ensure when it became clear that only a small number of people would be able to reach Antarctica in time. So I then thought we'd spend the rest of the book dealing with daily struggles of life in Antarctica over the days, months and eventually years of forming a new society. I should have guessed that this might be a series just from the author's bio: he is famous for them!

The book moves through several POVs which was interesting - but a little hard to keep track of the timeline with each.Although this isn’t the type of storyline I usually go for, I loved Child 44 and The Farm so requested it from Netgalley because of the author.
