I don’t feel it is fair to knock any marks off because it hasn’t made Sam sleep better, this is down to Sam, not the blind! Using VELCRO® Brand self-adhesive tabs around the window frame, this blackout blind attaches to the window with ease and leaves no gaps (follow instructions before cutting). Well this little back blind arrived on a Tuesday after purchasing Sunday night, by DHL, i managed to cut and fit in a narrow bathroom window in about 5 mins, we have porcelain tiles around this recessed window and didnt want to drill.

I have found the blackout blind useful as extra coverage over an existing one to block out light in the evening, although daytime light comes in around the edges. In the unlikely event that suction cups don’t stick, it’s probably because there’s a bit of oil or grease on the window.
I would strongly recommend that the manufacturer explores the use of a range of fitment types to suit diverse needs, including where the blind is too large for a window. It is a bit fiddly making sure you cut enough fabric to cover the window handle, if it sticks out like ours does, but it wasn’t difficult as such. Complete darkness is easily achieved by ensuring that there are no gaps around the window where light can enter.Just one thing – I think it would be helpful if installation instructions included a suggestion to put some temporary weights on the bottom so the blinds to relax them so they cover the whole window. If you have painted window frames i would say you may need to touch in some the paint if you remove the velcro, i took some velcro off the mum-in-laws window which was painted and it took off some of the paint eeek!
