I now have both Infusion d'Iris Cèdre and Infusion d`Homme. I did tried them in 3 different days in the same time. The EdP (Infusion d'Iris Cèdre) does not project more, or last longer on skin/clothes than the EdT (Infusion d`Homme). The scents are extremely similar but NOT the same. I note that there is a distinct pattern of references between the way the 2007 and 2015 versions of this smell to the user. I am offering the solution I believe. Iris Poudre Parfum spray is one divinity closely following the aura and sense of the original maker, Prada infusion d'iris. The soft, cozy, and woodsy scent revolves around the particular note extracted from the Iris flower's roots. The Iris scent is calming, almost reminding you of those quiet, majestic days that bring warmth and joy. I just notice that Prada fragrances are now transferred to L'oreal and they are now made in France.

It may be dark, but it's not loud--it does not wear like an "Absolue" for those that think it will be stronger than the original, think again--it wears next to the skin, but has excellent longevity. For all its woody incense musky darkness, it is a perfectly safe scent--it's not really daring at all. Most powdery, woodsy, and floral notes relay memories of vintage cosmetics and childhood. The romantic floral fragrances enhanced with delicate notes create a sense of deepness and sensuality. This is my least favorite so far of the Infusions. It's not "bad" per se; it is lovely and charming but a little too grandma-ish. To compare: the original d'Iris and the wonderful Cedre version both have a crisp lightness that helps to make them magical. Not light to the extreme mind you. They're both very slightly powdery, just enough to give them some needed weight, but it's not overdone. to 20 minutes after the first spray, the contention begins to die down; and then the absolutely enchanting warmth of Iris and musk appear, at first through billowing wafts. It's not that iris is a warm scent, it just feels warm when juxtaposed with cedar and galbanum. What Iris is, is an elegant, alluring, sophisticated seductress... just like my mother was. This EDP is a high class, high maintenance lady attempting to pass as carefree. Did I say ENCHANTING?!!! Is Cedre "better" than the original? That's tough to say. They're so similar that if you have a bottle of one, you don't need the other. I'd say while Cedre is more precisely calibrated, the original has more character. Also Cedre perform better in terms of longevity. But again, they're soooo similar... I can see folks not being able to tell the two apart.

Nice but only so, I was demanding something more (misleading name, no doubt!), while talking of 'iris' if it is the genuine one really employed the results must be much better.

Anyway--it's pretty linear, and while I like it alot, not too exciting. Think of d'Iris but with a splash of vanilla on the bottom, and a bit more incense added to the powdery aspects. It is also a bit more woody, and all together the ingredients are of a darker variety--there seem to be no florals except for a hint of the iris, which despite the pyramid I don't find to be prominient. Mostly I smell mastic/resins, powder, vanilla, wood, musk, and an abstract iris, which in sum add up to a dark character.About 5 to 8 minutes in, cedar and galbanum take over: arid, bitter, galbanum will make you thirsty, and I can even taste the wood chips of cedar in the tip of my tongue. This takes a while, so you better be patient when spraying... And drink a glass of water while you're at it, it's good for you anyway. shwets " has a review a few below this that mentions this is quite soft and it reminds of babys heads when clean , but not with talc or nappies, just beautiful fresh washed baby head skin , lol i get that too ! like clean soft healthy skin plus other notes.
