The Cat Above and The Mouse Below • Is There a Doctor in the Mouse? • Much Ado About Mousing • Snowbody Loves Me • The Unshrinkable Jerry Mouse Positives: Good German Shepherd story. Realistic. Ex-military, damaged male protagonist, story takes place not far from where I live. All the makings of an adventure I can enjoy. And it started out that way. Until… Well, it's a most unaccountable thing," said the dumbfounded Malcolm, turning round to the others. "It's the last time I come to this house." Done!" said Hirst. "I'll take the bet to frighten you first and the old gentleman afterwards. These gentlemen shall be the judges."

I'm going to bed," said Hirst, noticing the smile and resenting it. "Will you share my room with me, Somers?"Polka-Dot Puss • The Little Orphan • Hatch Up Your Troubles • Heavenly Puss • The Cat and the Mermouse • Love That Pup • Jerry's Diary • Tennis Chumps

From 2001 to 2012, the Afro-Caribbean population of Lambeth, the borough that houses Brixton, fell by eight per cent Toxteth Riot 6th July 1981 Police officers in riot gear outside a burning looted shop in Park Road. The ABC's EXPOSED documentary series revealed the officer in charge of the Luna Park fire investigation, Detective Inspector Doug Knight, was a corrupt "fixer" who accepted bribes from criminals to thwart and manipulate investigations. Then, a few weeks later, in Toxteth, came the predictable sequel, followed by copycat riots in Southall, Moss Side, St Pauls, Handsworth and Chapeltown, in Leeds. Accustomed to low-level civil unrest, nothing had prepared the police for confrontations involving rioters using axes, sledgehammers and even cars as weapons. All of a sudden the country appeared to be spiralling into an endless cycle of violence, framing Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as the villain. Good night," said the others. "And I only hope Jerry'll pay you a visit," added the nervous man as the door closed. Don't know," said Malcolm, shortly. "I fancied I saw something, but it might have been fancy. I'm in the mood to see anything just now. How are you feeling now, sir?" The Specials embraced ska: the Jamaican dancehall music of the 50s and 60s was mixed with the energy of punk and created a stylish, positive sound, light years away from the nihilism of the Sex Pistols. Even the label Dammers set up to release his music hinted at the integration he was aiming for - it was to be called Two Tone. I will with pleasure," said his friend, "provided you don't mind sleeping with the gas on full all night."

This series is wonderful! Jerry McNeal is a patrol officer in Pennsylvania. He has a paranormal ability to sense when something is going to happen, but he doesn't know what it is until it happens. Crazy huh? Of course, along the way a K9 German shepherd was killed in the line if duty. This ghost dog, Gunter, appears to Jerry, but most others can't see him. The dog helps him solve the cases that arise from Jerry's "spidey sense" as he calls it. Jerry doesn't like dogs, but the ghost won't leave. In this book Jerry finally accepts Hunter's presence and assistance. In this book Jerry attends a paranormal convention with Fortune Tellers. He has one do a reading for him and she's really good. She can see the dog too. She's the one, along with spirits of deceased family members, that finally get Jerry to make a important decision. They all started at the sound of a smothered cry from the staircase and the sound of somebody running hurriedly along the passage. Before anybody could speak, the door flew open and a figure bursting into the room flung itself gasping and shivering upon them.
