About this deal

She tries to tune everyone out, shunning her old lifestyle as the pretty, popular cheerleader, but somehow she can’t hide from Damen, the new guy at school. Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him.

Meet Damen Auguste- your typical; run of the mill boring, basic asshole who is good at everything… Apparently Damen is quite the hot shit- causing one dimensional characters and even the token gay guy and Goth “all squealing over him” because all high school students are the equivalent of pigs.Plus she's mean to her little sister, considering what happened to Riley, she should be A LOT nicer. Her protagonist, Ever, was incredibly popular at her old school and has decided to be an outcast because she feels that she can't be accepted due to her psychic gift. Also, I completely hated the fact that every single character in this book is a walking, breathing stereotype- Haven being the typical Goth who is shallow, being such a good friend that she gets pissed off at Ever for stealing Damen, then goes off with strangers and get’s herself in a whole load of shit.

It’s mainly the way the entire area surrounding his body, starting from his glorious head and going all the way down to the square-cut toes of his motorcycle boots, consists of nothing but blank empty space. And what was Damen doing BOTH times Ever (the supposed love of his life) was fighting for her life against his wife?It is the first in a series, so I'm eager to see if we will learn more about Ever, Damen and friends in the next one…it's sure to be a great read.

They are actually for pre-teens, I think, so nothing adult bookish about them whatsoever, just cute books to read. On March 28, 2011, author Alyson Noel announced that the rights to all 10 books in both The Immortals and Riley Bloom Series have been optioned by Summit Entertainment. After a horrible accident claims the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. However, the pacing is great, the characters develop and grow and the author has built in some slow burning romance between Jules and Liam to keep the reader engaged. My Facebook friends seem to love it, so I’m looking forward to more adventures (and hopefully, angst – I’m a sucker for it).Damen is not even a vampire (even though he doesn’t eat anything, but does drink some red liquid and drink her friend’s blood- how silly of Ever to come to that conclusion!

It's just disgusting and wrong on so many levels, and I can't believe the gall of the author to implant this abysmal moral on young minds. Jules Ember confronts the girl who is both her oldest friend and greatest enemy in the highly anticipated sequel to Everless, praised by New York Times bestelling author Stephanie Garber as "an intoxicating blend of blood, secrets, and haunting mythology.I liked the idea of Immortals, that this take on paranormal romance did not have a Vampire as one of the main characters, but felt that there should have been more back story into how and why Damen is who he is. She's always believed Damen to be her soul mate and one true love—and she still believes it to be true.
