The tractor drives into the fields to get some hay for the horses and then chugs down the lane and into a more muddy and squelchy field. Roger lives in London and has three children, who have been the inspiration behind many of his best publishing ideas.

Unfortunately rather than being hardcover as described at time of sale, it was a paperback but it is in good condition . The sound effects are highly entertaining, the illustrations are very sweet and plenty of details to point to and ask questions around.

The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. Each thick board page has a nice, holdable tractor-shaped cut-out too, so little ones can help turn the pages and explore the book with their hands. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. However, it's not very durable and fell apart after about a week of continuous use (hence losing one star).Lift the flaps and read the simple text to learn about the unique features on each vehicle, and there's a simple matching activity for additional fun. Part of the “Sophie la giraffe” series, which includes the title Sophie Has Lunch, Sophie Goes to Sleep treads similar ground, easing young ones into their daily routines with the help of a friendly giraffe, Sophie, based on the iconic teething toy used seemingly by families everywhere. This gentle story, with its fun sounds, is full of timeless charm, and the good news is that there is still the added fun of finding the hidden Little Yellow Duck on every page! Little ones will love pressing Tractor's squishy parts to hear an entertaining range of sounds, from hooting horn to revving engine to squelchy tyres! Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you.
