About this deal

Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. Be aware that, with the finer profile of a MicroLine, you'll need to ensure that your records are very clean (otherwise the stylus will dig dirt from the bottom of the grooves, leading to higher surface noise, distortion and premature wear of the stylus). Even one person who had a Dynavector which I consider to be an excellent moving coil said that the Nagaoka MP110 was so close to the sound of his expensive Dynavector that it was difficult for him to admit it . With a quoted life of just 150 to 200 hours, at my current rate of use this will only last me 3 or 4 months.

International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. This finesses of the MP-110, and the ability to reduce vinyl noise while tracking the inner groove makes it a budget winner. In comparison, my memory of the Ortofon 2M Red (on a different table, mind you) was of a rougher sound. tell me why there is such a difference between a Denon Dl103 and an AT Vm95C, both of which have the same conical stylus.

The MP-110 is a great upgrade option for a number of turntables with great results with the Rega Planar 1, Planar 2 and the Project debut carbon range. ive got multiple tables set up in my system and ive been finding myself gravitating to the q2 stuffed with modeling clay and the vm95ml. VTA, it usually is best to start with a level arm and you should have a VTA adjustment by just turning the dial/ring at the base of the arm to raise it as some tables need to be raised to perform better, others, a little down at the back (also known as tails up/down). its doing maybe 90% of what im getting out of the sl-1300mk2 w/shure v15vmr and sl-1700mk2 with at33ptg2 without worrying about fragile cantilevers and no longer available stylus assemblies. It’s a solid performer with many pluses, only a few minuses, and it’s compatible with many current and vintage turntables.

The muffsy will be the most expensive option but I am hoping after burning myself and lots of cussing, it will be the most rewarding. although i haven’t actually heard the Nag, i have been recommending them as others whom i trust have made quite positive remarks that convinced me that i would love one. i guess if you cant hear past 10k than its warm sounding compared to the 440mla (which it used to compared with in videos quite a bit years ago) which starts rising pretty early.

Just be aware that, to reach a 'VM95ML' trac(k)ing ability, you'd need to be much higher in the Nagaoka range. The MicroLine tip lasts longer than the plain elliptical of the MP-110 at their respective tracking forces, and has a very small 'equivalent scanning radius', which provides accurate reproduction of loud and high frequency material. I opted for the MP-110h variant which comes mounted in a good-quality headshell, strongly recommended. It was a given that the Rotel would be superior to the home theater receiver it replaced, but I had no idea it would be better to this extent.

I decided to purchase the Technics 52mm alignment tool to see if setting it up that way would rectify the issue but it did not. The MP110 sets itself apart with an uncomplicated installation process, enabling even new vinyl enthusiasts to embark on their journey effortlessly. Also does your receiver have a high cut filter for the LP to eliminate some of the noise from records? From your date of purchase, your product is warranted against faulty materials or workmanship for a period of 24months.
