About this deal

Yeah to echo what ppl have said, its usually an electrical fault to do with the Cruise/Traction conrol and Braking system. Agian I started the engine and moved off and again the Glow Plug light on the Rev Counter started to flash along with the yellow engine light.

I came to a standstill and switched off the engine, and then restarted and drove 50 miles with no problem and no flashing light. Azz, instead of clearing it with the computer, they should have ensured the filter was bled properly first and then just switched the ignition on and off 3 times to let it clear itself. My only worry is that, when it comes to trading-in time, I may not be able to shift my Yeti anywhere other than my local Škoda dealership.I recently bought OBDeleven, a scan of codes when I first got it showed "intermittent low fuel pressure" since changing the filter it had not reoccured.

times in the last 8 years here a GP light was triggered by a burnt out bulb that cold diagnosis didn't prompt.as a precaution they are changing the fuel filter as that has worked on the other cars that have been in. Drove it a few times over the next day or so but only a few miles at a time, by 3rd day it still lacked a little power but no lights. I changed my fuel filter last month, car was built May 2012, Date on the fuel filter was 4/4/2012, so it had never been changed, it should ahve been chnaged several times at services.

If it does it again will give Skoda breakdown peeps a ring as the car is under able when it’s flashing. Coil/sparkplug/engine management light comes on and the car goes into limp home mode, this started after I put petrol in it and drive it for 2 mins, it has since been flushed and cleaned (nothing replaced) but I'm now having this problem. They (independent) checked the new plugs and said they were okay, then I replaced the electronic contol module, no change, then I had Fiat do diagnostics, no result - maybe ECU they said , then I went to Fiat again for a fuller diagnostic check, because the head tech wasn't there the first time , and I learnt from their more intensive diagnostic that one of the new plugs was in fact faulty - different resistance. The dpf light has never came on just the eml light sayin dpf pressure sensor but i replaced that ad no light again so far!

I have looked in the handbook and it doesn't say anything about what to do if it flashes - it just states that it comes on for a few seconds prior to turning the engine on - a kind of preheating thing. Beware not to take drain plug right off as i did this once and had to get rac chap out as air had got in and it wouldnt start good luck! Eventually, usually after driving on very rough roads, the lights go out - but come back randomly a couple of weeks later. The had had three other cars in the last month with the same issue however, so it looks like it might be a dodgy fuel batch. The ECU will see this more favourable exhaust gas temperature and take it into consideration when calculating/predicting DPF saturation level.Even after a dealer does a forced regen the saturation is set to 80% so that shortly after the car will attempt another regen to get the saturation down further. Sunday dropped my multi meter down rear of engine managed to find it under the pipe that runs along the front of the engine any way start the engine see if checks made any difference no flashing glow plug decide to check if there's anything where I dropped multi meter find a connection with a spring loaded clip you have to push to release don't know what its for cant see it but feels loose manage to get it off clean it and adjust connections took a while to get it back on as I cant see it and there's not much room up to now that seems to have fixed the problem but I've no idea what it is down there but has 2 cables Just hoping that flashing Glow plug light problem is solved ? e. engine loaded) as opposed to being sat in a car park with a computer revving the nuts of your car. As with Manny's explanation my leisure battery wiring (which was done as per Willintons instructions) has tags from the fuse board and feeds the various internal electrics and for some reason they must be connected to something to do with that light.
