About this deal

If you're a sport-loving BT Infinity subscriber the extra cost to get the telecom company's 4K TV option thrown in with your package is almost a no-brainer.

The aura app is OK and works for remote recording but it also lets you watch live TV and recordings when on your home network, it also has a basic web interface which I use a lot on my iMac, it's a basic interface but actually works well. This may be the only Freeview box on the market with 4K at the moment but is the Ultra HD YouView box’s main selling point any good? The what hifi review was redone because of the newer interface not because the box changed but this is What hifi we are talking about and they are not exactly 100% about the tech (good sound comments but can be a bit lacking in tech details). Most decent tv’s now support the above depending on manufacturer, unlike 5 TO 6 years ago when HDR10 was king.I tell you, the dev team at Manhattan (or any PVR maker) could learn a lot by using a Toppy with MyStuff for a few days. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. A brand new and exclusive to BT, Youview+ Ultra HD box which comes with 1TB of storage – twice as much as today’s Youview+ box.

One or two live matches a week will be shown in 4K on the Ultra HD Sport channel (number 434 on the EPG).I read a similar thread (dated Jan19th) on the subject but couldn't find an answer and wondered if anyone else could help? But if the UI and speed of the T4000 are the same as the T2100 I think I'll make do without an app and hope Manhattan introduce one soon. Keeps you informed and up to date: Instant news, weather and commute updates without lifting a finger.

When Eden Hazard took a free kick just outside the Arsenal box, the camera zoomed in slightly so that every player appeared pin-sharp against the turf. I have my BT Youview DTR-T2100 mainly for watching MotoGP but prefer to use my Digitalstream PVR for most of my Freeview watching as the modded firmware lets me set hammock timers with flexible repeat patterns and the UI is just plain better and less clunky than Youview. I suspect that if your already on the VIP deal- let it expire by a day and ring them up to get put back on with a new box. It was only 10 or 15 years ago the luddites were arguing that analogue tv with a strong signal was better than digital tv. Other than that, the YouView box has to be connected to the internet and, if you want live channels, an aerial socket.Cannot say to much but you might be surprised of the advances in next year or two, and how quick it comes to market Jeremy hit the nail on the head. If we consider the proof of concept for 8k broadcasting took place in Feb 2020 then you’d hope that the rate of technology refresh would see 8K adapted in time for the start of the new football season in 2022 or 2023 (so 2-3yrs) ? There are two variants of the DTR-T4000, all initial variants did come with a 1TB HDD, though BT appear to have downgraded recent units to 500GB.
