The Pathfinder was reading 1000 feet different than the gps(not a big deal I adjusted for the difference), I figured there would be a difference because these devices calculate elevation/altitude differently. This is all I will go over, if I went on like this, talking about each screen, you’d probably stop reading. As far as altitude watches go this is as good as any when reading comparison reviews with other watches. The Casio Pathfinder PAW1200 is what I’ve referred to several times as the ultimate Pathfinder, perhaps the ultimate Casio, and certainly one of the most advanced digital timepieces in the world.One of the pictures I took has the Pathfinder watch next to a card that comes with it that list out the major draws. It is equipped with an altimeter, compass, heart rate monitor, activity tracking, and sleep tracking. There is a lot of information on some of these screens and it's hard to take it all in with just one push.
Also, the time is always displayed in the lower portion of any of the compass, altimeter, or barometer modes which is great because you can stay in those modes all day if you like and still know the time.
The PAW1200 series doesn’t just measure your altitude and allow you to record your altitude in three different ways, but it also allows you to set an altitude alarm which, when the watch is in altitude mode, will sound during both an ascent and a descent when the specified altitude is reached.
The main screen is very well designed, and is a result of Casio figuring out what to do best after years of trials. If you are wearing the watch and this happens, you just need to press and button to turn the screen back on.It will attempt to calibrate up to six times each day starting a midnight, and again every hour until it succeeds. Looking at the watch itself again, you have something that is very comfortable to wear – surprisingly so for the size.
