About this deal

Authentic features include opening gull-wing doors, tires that fold for flight mode, the light-up flux capacitor, printed dashboard dates and opening hood, plus a hoverboard and swappable license plates. In the movie, Doc Brown spent almost 30 years and his entire family fortune to build his Time Machine. It’s not a perfect set, it’s actually flawed, but the Back to the Future movies were a seminal part of my childhood cinematic experience, so getting a Creator Expert-scale LEGO Delorean just feels like a dream come true, and gives me much joy. As of today, 10248 Ferrari F40 is the most valuable Vehicles set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of 285 €. crystal clear Perspex® display case, assembled with our uniquely designed screws and connector cubes, allowing you to easily secure the case together.

I don’t know why they chose to re-use a minifigure’s head for Marty, as the previous one worked just fine. Constructed from 3mm clear recycled and recyclable acrylic, our case offers a crystal-clear view of your DeLorean masterpiece. The action is firm and satisfying to play with, and the wheels stay firmly locked in either position. Thanks for reading my review of LEGO 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine (Delorean), ahead of its release on 1 April 2022! You can see that in action here – while they open up just fine, there isn’t enough friction to counterbalance the weight of the doors, and they’ll drop closed when you release them. My favourite is the Back to the Future 2 model, which introduces Mr Fusion in the back, which replaces the Nuclear Reactor, and of course, can fly!

More you’ll be able to build this LEGO model in significantly less time and with far less expense – although your completed version will be unable to travel through time! But… despite being months late for my other half’s birthday present, it arrived and the delorian is now displayed with pride. The Windscreen is just fantastic and again, perfectly creates the distinctive wedge shapes of the DeLorean. You might want to hold off on putting that license plate in if you’re not going to leave it in place. Those changes are enough to make it clear of where on the time machine’s personal timeline you’re at, though. In the upper right is a teaser that this set can be built in three modes – matching the look from each of the three films.

That said, the LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine is still a great and worthy set to add to your collection, especially if you want to expand your Creator Expert garage, and if you’re a fan of BTTF. With only two minifigures and over 1800 pieces, the BTTF Time Machine (10300) has a brick-to-minifig ratio of 936. I’m not a huge fan clear stickers unless they include a DB… and the 8×16 info stickers are hard to apply. Here’s a look at some of the pages from the instruction manual, which as usual, contains nuggets of information from the film, a bio on the design team, led by Sven Franic, and plenty of movie stills. The Lego 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine is a beloved set that deserves a display case as extraordinary as the iconic DeLorean itself. Personally, one set will be enough for me, but it’s not a set that I’ll be taking apart for spare parts any time soon. t believe your eyes when the Time Machine enters flight mode, thanks to one of two NC Push Boards included in this kit. Each of these little sections slowly add body work detail that had me grinning from ear to ear as I fit the beginnings of the wing and wheel arches into place while using those new slopes to incredible effect to perfectly recreate the front face of the DMC.

Indulge your passion for one of the worlds most loved movie trilogies, building 1 of 3 versions of the time-traveling car.But since many an 18+ set of this type doesn’t come with minifigs, I’ll ignore this portion and just focus on scoring the figs overall. This documentary, 88MPH: The Story of the DeLorean Time Machine features some interesting background and if you’re a fan it’s well worth your time. If you don’t want to take any of the sub-assemblies apart to build the alternate versions, you need a maximum of five (fairly common) supplementary sourced elements.
