About this deal

The first single to be released from the album was the incendiary “ Firestarter” which saw Keef Flint take centre stage on vocals for the first time. The album’s journey started with the single ‘Firestarter’, which was released alongside a bold video that was shot in London’s abandoned Aldwych Tube station and directed by Walter Stern.

Personally I think the sound quality of the pressing is great, I was lucky to get a copy with none of the forementioned issues. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Continuing the celebrations around the 25 th anniversary of The Prodigy’s game-changing third studio album The Fat Of The Land, XL Recordings announce a stacked new remix package. Thursday 30 June - marks 25 years since the release of The Prodigy’s ‘The Fat of the Land’; an album so iconic it turned the sound of underground rave music into a global force; capturing the world's attention and dominating the charts. The game-changing album – which was originally released on June 30, 1997 – featured the hit singles ‘Firestarter’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, and topped both the UK and US album charts.

Agree the packaging could be better and put some extras in to celebrate 25 years of the band more but I am happy overall. In celebration of the 25th anniversary, XL Recordings are releasing a limited edition 2LP silver 12” vinyl package of the original album with a reimagined version of the iconic crab artwork and a brand-new remix of “Firestarter” by Andy C. The group paid tribute to Flint at each show, dedicating the tour to him and honouring him during a special performance of ‘Firestarter’ at their final show in London. The Prodigy have announced a limited edition vinyl reissue of their influential 1997-released record ‘The Fat Of The Land’ to mark its 25th anniversary. In the edit page, go to the 'Metadata' tab and add your Juno artist, label or release page for listeners to purchase your release / releases.

They also hinted that new music could follow too: “We’ll be droppin tunes from all our albums and maybe some shit u haven’t heard before. To mark the news, dj/producer Rene LaVice – well known for his years hosting Radio Ones Drum and Bass show – has remixed “Mindfields”.
