To help, we’ve put together a quick guide running through how to save your game in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD!
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD | How to Save Game
The first question we’ll answer in regards to how to save your game progress in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is whether or not manual saves are available. The quick answer to this is yes, you can manually save your progress.
To do this, you’ll need to find and interact with Bird Statues located throughout the game. When you come across a Bird Statue and press “A” to interact with it, you’ll be given a few options including: Cancel, Save and Quit, and Save.
To manually save, you’ll want to select the “Save” option (or Save and Quit if you’re looking to take a break). When you do this, you should see three save slots pop up. Note that empty save slots will read as “New Adventure” and you can select any of these empty slots to save on.
After selecting one of these save slots, you’ll be able to confirm the game is saving, after which point you should be good to go. What if you forget to manually save? Well, the other question Skyward Sword HD players have been asking is whether the game offers an autosave feature.
In this instance, the answer is also yes, Skyward Sword HD autosaves for you as you play the game, helping you track your progress even if you forget to manually save at a Bird Statue.
To keep on the lookout for when autosaves are happening, keep an eye on the bottom right corner and you’ll eventually see the word “Saving” pop up, indicating the game is actively saving your progress.
