In the past, vegan white chocolate has always slightly missed the mark in terms of flavour and can often be too sweet. However, I was pleasantly surprised with MooFree’s lemon white chocolate – the subtle taste of lemon balances the sweetness perfectly without being too tart for younger mouths. Organic cocoa mass, organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter, organic vanilla extract. Cocoa solids: 74% minimum. If you’d like your Easter egg to come with a clear conscience, Divine is always a good choice as the brand is famously co-owned by the cocao farmers it works with. So the farmers get a share of the profits they help to create, and you get a great tasting egg. Although the dark chocolate on its own might usually be a little too intense for kids, when it’s teamed with the marshmallows the sweet, sugary marshmallow takes the edge off the cocoa in the most perfect balance. They’re really good marshmallows too.

In Christianity, they are supposed to represent the resurrection of Jesus.
