About this deal

THIS is the power of Jane's gift and offering of both herself and ALL the scientific, Oncological, data and scrupulously, meticulously backed up information that she brings to bear on all who take the opportunity to avail themselves of nothing less than a dazzling vista that demonstrates the palpable, exciting hope and ultimately Cancer-free progression that her 'OFF LABEL DRUGS COMBO'; in conjuction with the low GI diet and careful 'relevant' supplementation can/does achieve! As you say, you have to weigh up whether an even higher dose is likely to have unpleasant side effects, especially if the benefits are uncertain. Her cocktail of cheap, off-label drugs—in addition to diet and supplementation—had halted the progression of myelodysplasia.

Cancer is a fight that can be won, and this book and the doctors that are at the front lines of medicine, implementing treatments similar to what is described here, can make a huge difference to the odds of someone surviving cancer. But I find it hard to believe that all of the dietary restrictions, supplements, and use of 'off-label' drugs are required. Don't let the cancer cells stick, keep it flowing in your blood so your immune system can attack it.

This woman went through cancer three times- Cervical cancer, then Stage 4 that spread to her lungs, and lastly Leukemia after heavy chemo.

You might argue that millions and millions of dollars are donated to cancer and surely some of that could go towards running clinical trials for this type of therapy.Just like the cervical cancer, Jane’s lung cancer was initially misdiagnosed (this time as a chest infection). One of the arguments put forward is that commercial interests stop the developments of cheap and easy solutions to serious health issues has some merit (see below) but there is no substitute for scientific evidence.

McLelland discovered that there were numerous drugs on the market designed for other purposes (like heart disease or infections) that could go beyond diet and supplements to effectively cut off cancer’s various fuel lines. Certain diets are better for our health generally and avoiding too much sugar, fat etc is a good thing. The loss of fertility in my thirties due to treatment after longing for a sibling for my young son for so long was a devastating blow and just compounded the heartache and despair of the cancer diagnosis. My impression is that there seem to be many opportunities to get the regime 'wrong', depending on where (you think) you are in the cancer cycle.I've just bought some Cod Liver Oil capsules because at one stage in the book she says that DHEA is very helpful. He’s a young72, and wants to squeeze the best out of life, so we do all we can to stay well and healthy.

The parallels just felt so numerable even right down to the Riverford Organic deliveries which I’d started having some months before! Further, at the end of the book, she does a great job of pulling it all together to try to provide a usable guide for patients who want to work with their doctors to try to include some of these approaches. It reads like a novel but is well organized with excellent references to put the theme of 'Starving Cancer' cells as part of a paradigm shift away from traditional protocols.

A must read, if only in terms of another angle, giving hope to patients that have explored ‘mainstream/conventional’ treatments and need/would prefer another route. He said tests showed my bones were brittle, therefore to reduce the risk of further problems I should switch to drinking a pint of milk daily as well as adding vitamin D supplements daily and increasing my exposure to sunshine. Time is a rare commodity for some of us and reading hundreds of studies and learning a completely new jargon while on chemo or other stuff is unachievable and frustrating. The author gives an insight into the fearsome tactics of the dragon, how it can marshall bodily resources to its own ends, become aggressive and achieve immortality, but can be outwitted. So yes, this is an awesome read, factual, tried and tested and found to be working and backed by real doctors.
