About this deal

The long handles and wide blades mean you can easily scoop up leaves without having to bend down to pick them up.

Voted ‘Best on Test’ with a five star rating, proving to be so popular that most testers said they would purchase one for their own use. Sometimes, these glove grabbers are so large that you don’t have to bend down far to pick up the leaves. The tough polypropylene blades make light work of leaves and grass cuttings and the heavy duty steel handles are plastic coated for a longer life. The teeth on the lower edge of the blades help you in collecting the leaves and other debris on the ground. These simple yet smart horticultural essentials are invaluable when it comes to clearing large volumes of grass cuttings, leaves and garden waste.Sturdy tubular steel shafts with tough plastic head, makes gathering leaves and grass cuttings quick and easy. We have been using the Darlac Grab n Lift for a few years now and find it to be a brilliant piece of kit. This is a good choice of leaf grabber if you like multi-purpose tools so that you don’t have to use a rake and then switch to a grabber to gather your leaves and pick them up.

Copies of the latest book from Alan Sargent and Gareth Wilson are expected back from the printer any day now. Now you can be prepared as these lightweight, scissor action Long Handled Leaf Grabbers are an absolute must for gathering leaves, grass cuttings and other debris from gardens, drives and pathways. If you would prefer a more traditional method of collecting leaves, opt for an aluminium garden rake, as these will be lightweight and the least straining. You continued to use the grabber in the usual way, but you didn’t have to rake the leaves separately. Behind this site is an actual real person who has worked and has experience with the types of products we review as well as years of knowledge on the topics we cover from actual experience. No more back breaking work with this easy to use lightweight long handled leaf grabber, which has cushioned handles for comfort. Rather than strapping your hands in like the design above, there's a handle to hold so you can get clearing in no time.

These are another great option and I’ve had Bosmere garden tools before and they have always been very well made. With no bending needed and a lightweight, tubular steel frame with soft foam handles, you can tidy up your garden in no time with minimal effort. A further option would be to make use of a hand rake that boasts a built in grabbing mechanism, giving you a great combination for maximal leaf collecting. In particular, a long-handled leaf grabber or leaf collector like my Clear N Collect Leaf Rake Grabber, which I think is one of the best leaf grabbers. The handles pivot around each other each with a bolt that helps to stabilise and strengthen the frame. If you find you're constantly wading through lots of leaves and unsightly garden waste and you're looking for something more substantial than the gloves design, this large capacity leaf grabber and collector could be a useful addition to your tool shed.

It’s well made and I like how you can use it as a rake to collect the leaves into a neat pile and then fold the two halves together to collect the leaves and put them into the compost heap. Then open the grabber so the blades are apart, put them around the pile of leaves, close the grabber handles, and you’ve captured the laves. I tend to use a couple of wide-flat leaf rakes now, one in each hand and pinch the piles together like a couple of huge claws and lift into bin or bag that way. I think the Draper model has the edge when it comes to build quality with the double-framed handles; it’s just more sturdy. If you choose to have a stand-up leaf grabber, all the stand-up models in this review are similar, and I recommend them all. It’s also worth noting it’s an ideal time to also make some leaf mould, which makes excellent soil conditioner.
