We will examine the twelve sons of Ishmael and try and determine what might have happened to them below. The tribe of Naphtali produced freedom and beauty ( Genesis 49:21). The tribe was located north of Galilee. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing” ( Genesis 12:2). Historically the nation of Israel consisted of 12 tribes, however today the Jewish people primarily descend from the Kingdom of Judea, which only consisted of two-and-a-half tribes: Yehuda, Benjamin and Levi… while the rest of the tribes and the majority of Israel were displaced by the Assyrians and dispersed around the world prior to the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. This means if we found the descendants of the nine and a half tribes, we would be much more than the 15 million Jews we are today. This is not a myth. The question is where did they go?”

This concept is perplexing at first glance, though when explored, it makes sense. “We live in the post-modern world where people are looking for something… There are many Christians who move to Islam, so maybe it’s a rejection of Christian doctrine.” He also says, “They always say it is so hard to be a Jew, but how is it that so many want to become one?” Though he laments, “Maybe we are not ready to accept them… we haven’t opened our eyes to see something new.” He believes this is part of a “galut (exile) mentality” that has plagued us since the Holocaust. Actions more than words Little is said of Gad, the man or the tribe. They, like Reuben, settled east of the Jordan. 9. Asher. The Bible Odyssey shares, “The southern kingdom consisted only of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin and thus became the kingdom of Judah, with Jerusalem as its capital. The northern kingdom consisted of the remaining tribes and was called Israel.” Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount, the Old City of David, Hezekiah's Tunnel, etc., and surrounding areas, with the Jordan River nearby, once the land of the tribe of Benjamin. May their lives and walks with God strengthen your faith and encourage your soul.Kind of like how I can assume my readers in the US immediately know what I’m talking about if I reference “D.C.,”“Houston,” or “Chicago.” Many Christians and Jewish people alike travel to Israel every year to explore the roots of their faith and the rich heritage they have in common and share. For Jewish people this rich heritage is literal and it is in their DNA, for Christians it is spiritual. For New Testament believers, this is picture of the Church that perseveres and is able to bear fruit despite the struggles they encounter when they are hated by the world because they do not conform to it, but conform to Jesus. Benjamin The Land of the Tribe of Benjamin: The Tribe of Benjamin was allotted land between the territories of the children of Judah and the children of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh. The cities of Jerusalem (called Jebus at that time, later renamed Jerusalem) and Jericho were located in the heart of their land ( Joshua 18:11-28). All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him” ( Genesis 49:28).

Muslim chart from Adam to Arabian Tribes. Keohane, Alan, 'Bedouin, Nomads of the Desert', Kyle Kathi Ltd., London, 1994 As you know it is the death and resurrection of Jesus, whose earthly lineage is of the tribe of Judah, that brought salvation to all mankind, thus fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis 12. All the nations, peoples and families of the world have been blessed through Abraham’s lineage because of Jesus. In Genesis - chapter 48 and 49, when Jacob was about to die, he called his 12 sons to his side, blessed them and uttered his last words to them to tell them what would happen "in the last days". put incense before You, And a whole burnt sacrifice on Your altar. Bless his substance, LORD, And accept the work This is the significance of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of Israel and of the entire nation that descended from them, and this is why the history of Israel, as outlined in the Old Testament, is so important, as God established His covenant with them and His presence at that time lived on earth through them. Today's Christians who follow God in the new Covenant through Jesus are their spiritual heirs and the historical roots of their faith originate in them. Abraham came from the city of Ur of the Chaldees and, along with his descendants, settled in the land of Canaan and they became a nation. God made a Covenant with Abraham, promising that he would be "a father of many nations" ( Genesis 17:4) and He changed Abram's name to Abraham, which means "father of a multitude".
