About this deal

Compatibility: Make sure the tablet holder is compatible with your tablet size. Many have universal compatibility, but some are unable to hold extra-large tablets. By now, you must know that the primary function of this accessory is holding and elevating your tablet for versatile viewing and a comfortable work experience. Hence, ensure that the positioning screws of the mount arms are easy to adjust. You should be able to adjust the height, tilt, or rotate the unit conveniently as and when required. Build Quality A unit made of plastic may reduce expenses, but it does not guarantee quality! And this is why we urge you to opt for an all-metal mount, featuring an aluminum frame. Being resistant to corrosion, it will ensure sturdiness and durability. In other words, the unit may be a bit pricey, but it will last you for years to come. Stability

This stand doesn’t raise the tablet very high off the desk, but you could adjust for that by putting it on top of a box or book, although that’s not ideal as it will reduce its stability. I reviewed the tablet in S Mode at first because I think this makes sense on an ARM processor. It’s not meant to be a gaming tablet anyways and I don’t think Xiaomi wants you to get it as a Photoshop tablet either. If you want that, I think you should get an Intel device. Let’s get to the ARM processor. Inside the Xiaomi Book S sits a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Unlike the Surface Pro X, you cannot exchange the SSD yourself. And again unlike the Pro X, there is no version with LTE or 5G which is a bit disappointing.Having said that, the availability of a wide range of options can make the selection process quite challenging. So, what should you do? First things first, breathe a sigh of relief! Of course, the 11-inch iPad Pro 2021 still thrives at the little things. Its bright and colorful display is sharp, its four speakers provide much larger sound than you might expect from such a thin device and. And if you're willing to pony up the cash its amazing (optional) Magic Keyboard offers the simplest and smoothest tablet typing experience there is. SSD speeds are good, coming in at2,685MB/s for write and 3,037MB/s for read speeds. It's up there with other high-end devices, including the Surface Pro 9, LG Gram 17, and Lenovo Yoga 7i. You won't have complaints about the SSD, which to my knowledge is user upgradable.

Xiaomi’s Smart Pen works very well. I was able to write handwritten notes in Microsoft OneNote without any issues and annotating PDFs in Drawboard PDF works great too. Windows 11 has many features for pens built-in and they all work as they should. Benchmarks show that the Robo & Kala fits in exactly where you'd expect it to with other Windows on ARM devices of its calibre, but that means it's not going to outpace any Intel devices with a recent Intel Core i5 or above. Moving onto the cameras, we have a rear 13MP shooter with support for auto-focus and can shoot video in 4K. It looks great and is more than enough for filming meetings or lectures. The front facing camera is a less good 5MP shooter with 1080p video capabilities. It's fine, but it's not winning any rewards. Ports include two USB-C and one Surface Connect port for fast charging. It also has an upgradable SSD, so if you ever need to swap out your drive for a new one, you can do just that without having to break open the entire device to do so. Battery life is pretty good, with usage lasting around 7-8 hours on a single charge. Thanks to the ARM processor, it consumes little power when you put it to sleep. So it should get you through a day just fine. But this can be avoided! How? Well, it’s pretty simple, to be honest, just invest in a well-made, flexible arm mount for the convenient positioning and placement of your tablet.

Its squashability means you can angle the tablet’s screen as you want it, although it will move around a bit if it’s resting on you and you move about. It adds a little height and you can knead the bean bag into different angles. With that being said, I can imagine that the Xiaomi Book S can be an interesting choice for some. For instance, if you mainly want an Office tablet and don’t want to use traditional Windows apps but love the Windows desktop interface. Windows 11 in S Mode on an ARM chip is still better than the Samsung DeX desktop mode, in my opinion. And it is cheaper than the Surface Pro 8. The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 isn't a bad or worthless machine. It's powerful enough to handle everyday computing tasks, has a decent screen for watching videos and is lightweight enough to comfortably take wherever you go. It may not redefine the 2-in-1, but if you want something that's suitable as a laptop or tablet, this machine gets the job done.

I think for most the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is the better choice. It has a premium build, works with an active pen too, has a better 120Hz screen, and supports a fantastic keyboard cover. Here we do get a normal Intel chipset with normal Windows 11 that also runs old Windows apps. By the way, I think the Surface Pro X is not a great choice for most just like the Xiaomi Book. The Wacom Flex Arm is designed to be better than any other display arm on the list. That being said, it allows you to mount your Cintiq Pro on your desk without facing any challenges. In fact, thanks to its reach of 30 inches, it can also be used as a free-floating monitor. Impressive, right?I certainly cannot recommend it as a gaming tablet. It makes no sense to get an ARM-Windows device to play games with. Many cannot be installed but some are possible. I played a bit of Asphalt 9 and that runs well with medium graphics. But it’s not enjoyable at high graphics settings. It's considerably more expensive than the Surface Go. Just like the Surface Go, it also doesn't come with the Type Cover bundled at that price. Considering the display's size, you're going to want to buy the Type Cover to take advantage of everything this tablet has to offer. Purpose: Consider what you’ll primarily be using your tablet stand for. Certain stands are better for drawing and digital art, while others are better for video conferencing. Which tablet holder you choose will depend on what you’re planning on doing with it. Do we think the iPad 2022 is worth the splurge over last year’s model? Mostly, as this is a more future-proof tablet. Overall, the iPad 10th gen is one of the best tablets, but we can’t unequivocally say that it’s the best tablet for most people because of the higher price and Apple Pencil blunder.
