You really couldn't have asked for better narrators for this story. Erin Mallon brought Kate to life - quirks and all. She captured the snark, vulnerability, and humor so well. Add in the amazing Teddy Hamilton and I was in narrator heaven! Both gave wonderful performances and I couldn't help falling in love with Miles and Kate. You definitely don't want to miss this one! Until the very end of the book he kept saying that he can’t and won’t LOVE his kid or Lynsey (the heroine) because he can’t risk them. If he loves them he will endanger their lives cause he could miss potentially life threatening issues. (and yeah that train of thought is related to the kid that died but still it made 0 sense especially for a medical professional to be this obtuse) I was like what?! Say what again?! It makes no freaking sense?? When the two accidentally run into each other at a bar, sparks fly and their flirting goes to the next level. Kate/Mercedes is drawn to Miles even more when she admits to him that she writes sexy books and he doesn’t blink an eye – he even calls his family to prove that they wouldn’t either. Can you even blame a girl for falling for this guy?
