Don T Get Your Dauber Down, From The Pulpit: Don&#39T Get Your Dauber Down

After the Niners lost on Sunday, Jim Harbaugh said, “We’ll keep our daubers up.”

When Roger Craig managed the SF Giants he routinely said, “Don’t let your dauber down.”

So, help me here. What exactly is a dauber? I don’t even know if I’m spelling it right. It might be “dobber.”

What is a dauber/dobber and how do you keep it up or keep from letting it down? Curious minds long to know.
