About this deal

Well, despite its tininess, it is surprisingly powerful and easy to use, not to mention, light-weight. This is powerful despite its very small size. It will not bog down at all no matter how much hair you throw at it. The cord is long enough and I never found myself wanting a longer cord. The quiet operation will keep kids from getting spooked. They may not even realize there is a clipper right by their ears until you start the haircut. The blade is sharp and has no problem cutting any hair. It is very lightweight and highly maneuverable. Great for problem areas like around the ears, under the nose, and around the mouth. It works great in these areas. A solid little trimmer.

To summarise this Wahl Peanut review, the Peanut is the best professional hair trimmer if you’re after a compact machine, combined with immense power. If you want to be even more mobile with your trimmer, you can consider the Peanut’s cordless version. Whether you are using a tool at home or for your profession, it pays to take care of it . The Peanut isn’t any different than other hair clippers, so here are some general tips to maintain it. For starters, it’s lightweight; weighing around 0.25lbs (4oz) – probably the lightest professional hair trimmer available. And of course, the 7-feet-long power cord should be just enough to maneuver the clipper with ease when shaving your head, chest, arm, and leg at home. Unfortunately, the Peanut just doesn’t make the cut as an A-list, professional barber clipper. For a clipper to be recommended for heavy-duty work, it has to have; I have reviewed a lot of trimmers and clippers over the years and what I reach for the most is the Brio Beardscape. Hands down the best trimmer/clippers I have ever laid my hands on. So many options in hair cutting lengths, more than any other trimmer/clippers. Plus it is powerful and cordless and is a serious tool. Brio states this is the last trimmer you will ever need and I 100% agree. My favorite trimmer and I highly recommend it. The Brio Beardscape blows away the Wahl Peanut in every field.Yes, they are major downsides, but they aren’t too big to warrant this impressive trimmer’s dismissal. For some cutting length diversity, you will receive 4 Wahl guards (from 1/8″ to 1/2″ in size.) You’ll also fetch a red blade guard, Wahl cleaning brush, clipper oil and the instructions for the Peanut clipper.

The Peanut isn’t the best trimmer in terms of motor power and blades, but it’s an ace performer when it comes to usability and handling.Once in a while, say every 4 weeks, you need to do a deeper clean and use a blade wash to really erase all the grime that has accumulated on the teeth of the blade. From dead skin cells , to sweat to hair styling products, these all slow down the blade and make the motor work harder. This eventually will lead to shortening the life of your Peanut.

The Peanut makes it so easy for anyone to maintain a neat and well-kept haircut with sharp and crisp hairlines. The smaller blade allows you to trim facial hair more precisely than the standard larger blade would allow you. As you might guess, thanks to its compact body, the Peanut is a wonderful candidate for the best hair trimmer for kids. Forget about it being a trimmer for men. Accessories – It comes with 4 plastic guards from size 1/8 to 1/2. Sadly, the Wahl Peanut doesn’t have longer guards. So, if you would like to leave the hair longer than ½ an inch, you’d have to use the old trimmer-over-comb technique.Wahl’s Peanut professional hair trimmer comes with a powerful rotary motor. Translated, this means you get the smoothest of the three hair cutter motor types (the others being the pivot and the magnetic motor.) Rotary motors score high in both blade speed and power, last longer, and are generally considered top notch. When it comes to hair trimming, the Peanut guarantees crisp, sharp, and easy trims and hairline designs to ensure you get the perfect finish. Wanna know what is my go-to trimmer/clippers? The trimmer I reach for whenever I want to trim my beard or cut my own hair? See below Other Clippers. The simplest but most important thing you can do is just wipe off the hair from the blade with an old toothbrush. Do this before and after every haircut so there is no hair left sitting on the blade. The hair is acidic and will make the blade dull over time. Anyway, thank you so much for the home barber insight. It’s always good to know how a clipper performs in different work environments and conditions. I’m sure anyone looking to buy this for home use will appreciate your input greatly.

Clipper use aside, this is a quality Wahl trimmer too. As a matter of fact, the first time I saw the Peanut, I thought it was a trimmer. Imagine my surprise when I saw a student doing a full haircut with it! Very versatile, the Peanut offers you a wide range of hair trimming opportunities. It cuts very close, especially compared with a lot of similar budget models (looking at Andis T-Outliner here.)

Do you want to trim other areas and/or get some hair lining done? In other words, do you need a versatile trimmer? I love seeing any kind of blade guard provided with a trimmer, as this helps protect against accidental damaging your blade during storage or travel. All in all, if you’re unsure whether Wahl Peanut is your trimmer, you should ask yourself these questions: Powerful!!! For such a small and compact clipper it sure is powerful and hums right along with anything that is thrown at it.
