Harmonia starts by introducing us to what Hedge Witches do, how they connect with nature and the spirit of a place, it also introduces us to ritual tools and familiars. Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out. Think ‘wise-woman’ and natural healer rather than spells and incantations and you will be close to the content of this book. Written in an easy conversational style, she offers simple everyday practices that can easily be incorporated into everyday life. You won't just read this book, you will have a deep beautiful experience of the connectedness of all beings.

And while I don’t do much with DIY herbology, I did appreciate how she demonstrated ways to incorporate this practice into my own spiritual journey, if I decide to try it out later on. Can Rowan hone her hedge craft, try to make some friends and solve the riddle of the mysterious goings-on, or is magic about to be revealed to the world … or at least Wales?Somehow, you get close to the soul of the author, and you get closer to yourself as she walks her talk in each page. It is marketed as an “adult” fantasy but as with Threadneedle there is nothing content wise that might make me wary of suggesting it to fans of the “young adult” fantasy genre. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you.

Interesting and thoughtful read, but one that is specific to Wiccan practices rather than general hedgewitchery.Joanna van der Hoeven leads us between the worlds, exploring the path of the hedge witch, while encouraging us to weave our own relationship with the Mysteries. The Witch in Every Woman by Laurie Cabot (***)- This is a very empowering book for women, especially those who are unsure of themselves.

I do question a great deal of the history and mythology, as she's given no references for it other than scattered bits of Gardnerian and Alexandrian lore.

The old one I've had since it was first published disappeared in our house move so bought a new one which was delivered promptly and in perfect new state. This book has worked for many and while I think that's great, I would be careful if you are interested in this book.
