It took a while to get into this book, the beginning felt a bit overloaded, but I'm glad I kept on at it. I feel like a bit too much happened before the book started which was all thrown at the reader straight away, it might have been better to start the book before the party when Quinn and Destany are still friends. It didn't feel like there was much build-up to the journal going missing. Their love was supposed to last forever. But when life delivered blow after devastating blow, Yasmen and Josiah Wade found that love alone couldn’t solve or save everything. There's a conversation about a woman who had one partner who cheated on her and another who beat her. A casual, light-hearted tone is also established, making this book an easy read and enhancing the cute storyline.

I feel like he was a bit forgotten by the end of the book and, I don’t know, I wanted more!
