The battery arrived in original Nikon packaging stating "cell made on Japan, pack assembled in China". Using an earlier battery in a camera designed for use with a later battery will result in fewer pictures taken with a single charge. In most cases, i would never take over 300 shots when birding or anything of that nature but did on both cameras just to better access the batteries. The charger can use either a USB-C cable (included) or a micro USB cable (not included) to charge the batteries.

The only thing that can be said is that these do not give you the full battery life that the OEM will offer but the reduced battery life to cost savings over the OEM is worth it in most cases for me. The charger works just fine but yet to find out how long it will take to charge each or both depleted batteries.
