I spoke to Shields last week via telephone from his studio in the Irish countryside to discuss yet another remaster of the record, this one a completely analog vinyl version due in January (along with an all-analog vinyl edition of My Bloody Valentine’s 1988 debut album, Isn’t Anything). Fully analog cuts of m b v will also be available on deluxe and standard LPs globally for the first time.

Can't speak on the sound of an original pressing or a comparison but overall very impressed and happy with this one. Also a tiny tiny tiny bit warped but doesn't affect anything (pitch bending is literally one of the ingredients that made the album sound how it sounds so i don't think a badly warped copy would really affect it? So the challenge was to figure out a way of putting it back together again, including the songs that were manipulated digitally, but in the analog domain. It is a record best experienced as a whole, in one sitting – a listening experience like no other and unmatchable in its sonic brevity. but if you already own a 2021 deluxe copy of this album then you're already good to go unless you're either a collector or really curious.
