About this deal

Whatever was green and herbal about the older formulation has been completely scrubbed away, diminishing its specialness almost completely. It turns sweeter to the nose after 1 or 2 hours of wear but still, I wouldn’t qualify it as a sweet perfume. It feels a bit cheaply made, like Wish Chopard, which is no bad thing at all, because it is buoyantly cheerful and feminine and delightfully syrupy in that accessible manner of fruitchoulis and designer gourmands. It lasts pretty long and the sillage is fine, but I can’t get past the almost headache-inducing sweetness.

I am so bad identifying specific notes but the violet here is excellent despite the fact Iam not a lover of violet smell. After hearing that it went through a product redesign and reformulation, I panic-bought an older FB off Mercari.

The intoxicating original fragrance is a sensual oriental floral harmony, displaying a bouquet of anise, ivy, violet and tonka bean. Sweet, powdery violet pastilles borne aloft on clouds of cheap musk, cherry-almond lotion, chewing gum, candy cigarettes, hairspray, and a hint of something bitter and murky (half-chewed licorice laces, ivy). And here, the tart-sweet cherry note is pivotal, bridging the gap between LL’s sweet girlishness and its dark hinted promise. Definitely one of the sweetest and perfumes I own, but I love this one and consider it a modern classic. i was super excited to recieve my lolita lempicka, because of all the reviews and comparisons id seen, i was convinced this was gonna be my new favourite perfume.

I got this as a tester, I found the opening very nice but as it dried down it has gotten really earthy on me for some reason. That being said, if I were gifted a bottle of this, I would probably keep it and use it up eventually.

New perfumes have also joined the collection and gained popularity for the quality of their fragrances as well as the beauty of their packaging. Although it can be a little intense and dizzying, I love it and it will always remind me of my mom and being a teenager. That slight green ivy note truly takes this scent from a "lolita" candy girl type scent to full-blown forest nymph glory. Best-selling Lolita Lempicka perfume fragrances include the classic Lolita Lempicka, which blends aniseed notes with warm vanilla and praline. I love the flavor of black licorice, so I was expecting to love this, but the licorice plus the cherry and other notes actually smelled like some sort of grape flavored gum or candy from my childhood that I couldn't place, and was unpleasant.

As a guy I rarely go for fragrances that are marketed as feminine, but I maintain that most sweet feminines double as masculines for guys who aren't afraid to get a little slutty with it.

The notes in this perfume are right up my alley, and my boyfriends mother bought me this on Christmas 2013, and I sprayed it and wanted to cry the whole remainder of opening presents, while I plastered a smile on my face the entire time (I am happy to report I am no longer a frightened people pleaser- phew!
