I was interested in those characters enough to start a proper read of the previous novels, via the audios narrated by Scott Brick. Hurwitz has created a series that cannot be pigeonholed into a single genre and appeals to readers across a range of genres. I have a been avid fan of this author and series since the beginning, I read and reviewed the last book in this series and did not like it very much. Additionally, he’s written screenplays for or sold spec scripts to many of the major studios, and written, developed, and produced television for various networks. I can say so much that one part of the final chapter has a surprising twist for one of the most powerful people in the world.

I know some much deserved smackdown is about to be served and it puts a smile on my face every time! I think one of the reasons I love this series so much because justice usually wins out in some form eventually. One of the things that I love about this series is the way that Evan’s emotional growth has evolved over time.
