In many ways, Tango in the Night typified the sound of the 80s and indicated (to me at least) that Fleetwood Mac had intentionally changed their sound to fit in with the synth-heavy trends of that era. Stevie Nicks’ and Lindsey Buckingham’s distinct vocal styles shine, and Christine McVie’s contributions add a delightful balance to the album’s emotional range.
