When the Sony PlayStation console was released in 1994 it was an instant success among consumers, it was a big player in the TV console market during the 1990’s. I can’t understand people complaining about 20 games, their favourite not being on here, no dualshock or not being able to change discs.

I'm extremely happy with this ghost-trap I purchased, me and my 3 friends have so far caught and trapped over 29 spirits. However in later years Sony released another controller, with the same look, but a longer lead, the SCPH – 1010, this had a lead of roughly two meters in length. A shallow argument at best for those who are obsessed with the notion of "Fitting in" with their local popularity contest.The only thing about the PSone is that it has no link cable port and can sometimes run hotter given its small size, but other than that I consider it a good model. First of all this is the PSone, a slimmed down version of the original PlayStation (PSX) console which was bigger, grey in colour, and more square shaped. This meant a huge improvement in the quality of games the Sony PlayStation PS1 could hold — mind-blowing for Japanese gamers in late 1994.

A nice thought for anyone who dreads carrying a heavy brick from room to room, or even over to a friend's house. This game was the once-upon-a-time face of the PlayStation brand — thanks to its dynamic art direction, catchy audio, and outlandish originality. Hoever, if you are 'just' playing games, no cheats, no linking to other consoles, there is no reason why the slim would not suit your needs. Interestingly enough, the PlayStation itself never have a true mascot character to support it, like Sega or Nintendo did, although Crash Bandicoot has often been cited as an unofficial mascot for the console. You can still navigate the screen, but the only way you can save is if you have memorized which options are which, because it's total jibberish. Games load with the classic ps sound, and the loading times, game options and settings are (from my memory) exactly the same as the originals.

Serious FMV skipping issues, plastic turns to gray very fast like the old SNES, overheating, motor/laser burns out like crazy, and graphics have gradient banding + dynamic lighting issues because of the PU-7 board (makes games look more aged). I will mention though, that when my friend Choochie first used it, he didn't quite close the door, and his left foot has been possessed by what we think is actually Satan himself. Still, if it is unplugged, then no power consumption and the console will feel even cooler to the touch.
